Here are some constants for the summer of 2025:
– rainstorms break up before reaching East Atlanta, therefore not providing enough water for Wee Little Farm
– the Atlanta United can’t win a soccer match
– Werder Bremen will once again not win the DFB Pokal, after losing their first round match and getting knocked out of the tournament
Wordle: three, my starter was REIGN
Critters have discovered how tasty bell peppers can be, and have destroyed four, beautiful, peppers I have been waiting to pick.
Wordle in 4.
After work Saturday freed me around noon, I took lunch home to Debbie and was a slug all afternoon. I did more work on the road frontage in the “cool” of the evening. Ha! It’s starting to get somewhere and I’ve now started to pull root balls out with the tractor.
Had dinner with Meg and Ella last night and good to catch up with them. Her son, Alex is getting married on Games weekend- well, was until they found out they had not secured the venue and now have moved the wedding from Saturday to Friday. Their planning has been a complete charlie foxtrot.

CoA trash collection is on it today, 8:15am and my can has already been collected!
busy enough weekend –
Friday night went to the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art for a little open house/cocktail thing. It was good to get some culture. Afterwards we went & had drinks on the top of the Strand theatre – it was a nice sunset.
Saturday – short hike (damn it was humid) pool time & then made carbonara pasta at Annette’s for dinner
Sunday – went to The Battery for lunch with a friend – she had never been, it is an over priced area to eat, but it was something to do.
I did nothing this weekend, it was great. On Saturday we did a couple errands and had lunch at the General Muir. Otherwise I didn’t leave the house, and I watched a lot of sports.
I watched a lot of what the rest of the world calls “football” this weekend.
Knocking out chores/errands already! Go me!
Busy weekend!
Friday rode Bull Mountain with Allan scouting out wheelhopper trail. We decided to chop off a 5 mile loop since there was so much climbing (not everybody has e-bikes, yet :-)). We may put it in as an extra credit loop but we’ll see.
Saturday was pub crawl with the Hooligans, great times! We had 7 stops over 17ish miles. Many beers, many laughs, good times were had by all.
Sunday jumped on the motorcycle to go back up to the mountains and find our hash ending. Found a nice spot along a creek that will cool the hounds down. Went all the way up to the Ranger camp to have a burger and beer at The Overhang, love that place.
Fun times but now I’m tired
Overachiever! 😛
7 beer stops??? Dang – I’m sort of glad I couldn’t make it – that would have killed me. 😉
I only had 5 planned, the collective group decided to have 2 more on the way back to the cars 🙂
LOL, that’s what I was thinking, too!
I’m not in that kind of drinking shape.
I am, at least if we are not talking seven, high ABV IPAs…
I failed to report that we believe NOD (not our donkey) has been returned to his usual pasture. We got home from dinner last night and spotted Minnie Pearl, but Nod was nowhere in sight. Michelle could have easily slipped in and walked him back to his home. Maybe I’ll go look at lunch.
I thought we were going to get a “Donkey ain’t staying” scenario 🙂
Today is Stacy’s birthday- happy birthday, Stacy!
Happy Birthday Stacy!
My apologies that your birthday is not in my calendar.
