I’ve booked travel to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada! While I certainly don’t condone, nor enjoy, paying for seat selection, I have done just that. I paid $57 per flight for the “privilege” of seat selection, extra legroom, and a “complimentary” alcoholic beverage.
You will either have to see me in person, or find out after the trip, for when and how long I will be away.
Wordle: four, my starter was PLANE
Fifteen minutes ago I started a ninety minute timer. Now, if I can only remember what I wanted to do when the timer expires…
Timer has fired. I’m not sure what I just did was the reason for the timer, but it didn’t hurt to do it. Hahaha
Wordle in 6. Ugh. My streak is at 150.
I have an old Scottish friend and her husband now living in Vancouver that I have threatened to visit on my way to go skiing at Whistler. I’m also planning (in my head) a trip to Seattle to see the Museum of Flight. Might have to combine all 3.
I went and found Minnie Pearl at lunch yesterday. She was standing on one side of the fence and Nod was on the other. It was sad… we might have to arrange visits.
Wasn’t feeling 100% yesterday, so took it easy after work. A couple chores.
I drop Debbie off at the airport on the way to work tomorrow. 10 days in Oregon.

Vancouver was not my decision, not that I am against it. My flight seemed cheap $283, and then you add another $114, making it reasonable. Looking forward to playing with colorful money again…
Ten days in Oregon? Who does she think she is, Sal? Hahaha
Hope you are feeling better today.
which airline are you flying? (hope it isn’t Air Canada very soon, their strike is going to have things messed up for at least a week)
Yeah – Debbie vacationing in Oregon? I’m jealous – this is the PERFECT time of year to be out there.
WestJet, booked through Delta.
Wow, $283 to VANCOUVER?! That is insane. I’m sure there is a layover?
Also: super jealous. Vancouver is high on my list of places I want to see.
BTW – that’s an incredibly cheap airfare – hell yeah pay for the upgraded seats.
Direct flight, no connections!
When I saw $283 I booked immediately.
Ha! Donkey ain’t staying!
Congrats on the new donkey 🙂
Replaced my derailleur last night so the bike is back up and ready to go! Yes I know it is a brand new bike but I can’t have nice things without breaking them 🙁
I’m actually in the office today, it has been at least 8 months since I have been here. It’s still the same, nobody is here. We do have an all hands call with the SVP and he is in town so they bribed us with pizza to get us to come in.
Allan told me about the derailleur.
Good times – going into the office……… can’t believe its been 8 months
“Ride Hard, Drink Harder” should be one of the Chattahooligans’s mottos!
wordle in 4 – took a while to figure out a 4th word that would word
This week at work is New Student Orientation and suddenly there are a million people here. I miss summer.
Sushi as usual last night, we were there right when they opened at 5:30 and thus were home for opening pitch for the Sox. We switched between both games, and both our teams lost.
a friend (really acquaintance) has a kid at Emory, or maybe she’s graduated.
anyway – I was asked if I know where to donate a mattress & box springs. I suggested looking up a Buy Nothing group on Facebook for that area.
Well – they got rid of it in just a few hours. I need to get rid of more stuff that way.
I would too, if not for that hurdle known as “Facebook”. 🙂
I am a member of the Candler Park Buy Nothing group, it’s pretty good. I have three things right now that I want to post to it.
Washed my bike in anticipation of riding tonight, and did a little WLF choring, before the sun rises high, warming things considerably.
Looks as if riding tonight will be a crapshoot. The weather app I use is calling for a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon.
I just watched an owl or hawk (I only saw it from behind) glide from one tree to another. I think that it was carrying its lunch in its talons.
One less rodent to munch your vegetables! Yeah, nature!
I’ve started referring to the owls and hawks as “The Enforcers”.
I think your ride tonight is going to get very wet. Check the radar…
Sal and Barb are getting drenched, so far none of it has reached EAV. I will keep my eye on the sky and radar. I hope that it either rains good, dowsing WLF, or not at all.
Some rain has arrived. Doubt that there be a ride in my future tonight.
