If this were a different weekend, one which isn’t already planned, I’d be headed to Hiawassee (again?) today for the Georgia Mountain Fair. Why? Because it’s one of the earliest concerts by Molly Tuttle supporting her new album “So Long Little Miss Sunshine”. At first I didn’t know when Tuttle would return to the southeast. Thankfully I’ve just seen that Tuttle will be playing at Variety Playhouse in October; tickets are $45 (what was my self-imposed threshold?).
Has anyone ever booked one of those “cheap” vacations which require you to sit through a timeshare/vacation presentation?
Wordle: four, my starter was SHORT
I’ve never done a full vacation, but years & years ago in Cozumel with to a presentation so we could get a jeep to drive around the island. It was torture, but we finally got out & got the jeep.
Wordle in 2, and I had 3 greens and 1 yellow on my starter word.
Molly Tuttle is too rich for your blood, you set the upper limit at $40. If you were able to afford it, I do like the Georgia Mountain Fair venue, I’ve seen two shows there over the last year.
My Debbie had a timeshare weekend in Hilton Head earlier this month. They make a really hard push during the 2 hour presentation. For one, they talk about how many points you need for various stays , and they assiduously stay way from talking about how you’re on the hook for fees forever. They try to suss out your budget and they use anything personal you say to try to coax you into signing on the dotted line. Debbie declined. They left her alone otherwise.
Wordle in 4.
After printing a SSA doc at the office Wednesday, I got another email from HR yesterday with the corrected doc (the zip code was wrong!) and now I have to figure out how to print something around here. PITA.
PITA 2- taking the wheels off the new scoot- the front takes a 22mm “male” socket. I figured a way and we shall see if it works.
If I get all these puzzles solved, I may be in your neighborhood for lunch, Barb, if you’re available.

hey Steve – come on up – let’s do lunch!!!
Printing successful. Next stop- wheel removal.
Wheel done. Heading south before I head north. Will be in touch.
wordle in 4 –
Found a frozen lasagna in the freezer that sounds good, so that was dinner last night.
A friend came over, his wife is out of town dealing with her 97 year old mom.
That woman can’t stay at home alone, but won’t agree to anything – she’s int he hospital at the moment. (sometimes dementia is really a good thing)
Made some caesar dressing from “scratch” – its mayo, buttermilk ranch, shredded parmesan & anchovy paste. It’s tastier than other bottled caesar dressings (IMO)
That dressing sounds good! But it also sounds really thick, did you dilute with any vinegar or something?
it is very thick – I hadn’t thought about diluting it – just tossed it with the lettuce with some tongs – it eventually coats it all.
Hello from some bar near my gate on B concourse of Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson international airport! The line for the Skyclub was half a mile long and I only have half an hour before I board. Heading up to MA to see my dad. The doctors cleared him to go out in public! He’s been in his apartment or walking the grounds of his assisted living facility since his stem cell transplant in February. He can’t like go inside a crowded restaurant but he can do a patio. So my brother and I are taking him out! Hope it doesn’t kill him, LOL.
B sky club line always seems to be really long when I’ve walked by it
The airport was weirdly wicked crowded this morning. Would’ve thought everyone would wait for Labor Day, but no.
