Interesting (to me) Fact: my HVAC removes over a gallon of water per day from the house under our current conditions. I know this because I put a gallon jug at the end of the hose yesterday morning, and it was filled by day’s end
BRAG released some stats about Big BRAG the other day. While not shocking, there were some interesting figures.
Male/Female ratio of riders: 70%/30% (not exactly good odds for me, lol)
Average Age of riders: 56.9 years old
Wordle: three, my starter was LATER
Forgot that I played LATER as my starter yesterday as well. 🙂
I saw the BRAG stats – but they never said the total # of riders????
No, but Franklin hinted that registration was down by about 200? Probably because of the climbing.
The average age kind of surprises me, you’d think more youngsters would like the challenge of BRAG. Although I literally only know people in their 50s who do it. Not that I have any friends who aren’t in their 50s.
Kevin’s firm had a reception after work last night and as the spouse of one of the partners I had to make an appearance. It was pretty easy and afterwards we went to Fontaine’s and shared the muffaletta.
where was the reception – at the firm?
Heh, no it was actually at Laseter’s! They love that place.
I sorta get it about BRAG. I wanted to do it for years, but had such limited vacation I didn’t want to use a week’s worth for BRAG.
Another boring day here in Iowa – I might leave the house today – just to do it.
Connie is here until tomorrow, so since I’m working, she’s running all the errands.
Allan’s flight out of Denver got delayed (not unlike mine a few days ago) he landed in ATL at midnight. Luckily MARTA runs until 1 AM, so he caught the train to West End & got the car at the firehouse. Got home after 1 AM.
He is already up thinking about the long grass, so I’m going to guess he is mowing by now. He said he saw at least 1 yellow tomato, so that is a great sign we still have tomatoes & the critters haven’t discovered them yet.
Steve – he will be going by the bike shop to see if your new tires are in.
Thanks!! Might call him and see if he’s around late tomorrow. Pick up “on the way home” from the airport. Saves me half a trip.
don’t call until later – he won’t know if its in yet- yard work before it gets super hot!
We had another rainstorm last night, I’m sure that messes with the flights.
Hank watched his stepdaughter’s flight from Denver circle for a while to wait out the storms. Huh, I wonder if she and Allan were on the same flight?
If she landed at midnight – they sure were.
Allan watched 2 movies for sure- maybe a 3rd
oh yeah- watching the Cubs game last night – they had Ken Jennings leading the singing of the 7th inning Take Me Out to the Ballgame song.
Also – the Cubs song at the end of the game when they win was hilarious – its amazing how many people stick around to sing the song.
I heart Ken Jennings. And I didn’t know the Cubs sing a song at the end! Even if I were a Cubs fan I would not stick around for that.
I sent you a little link via text – Go Cubs Go. They sing it for quite a while, we shut it off & the TV had them still singing
Wordle in 4.
Long day in an un-air conditioned vault installing equipment. One of those was the biggest Cisco makes and it took 4 of us to lift it into place. The other one is in a cabinet 6 feet in the air- have to allow traffic underneath!
Other than that and moving the equipment and dodging rain storms- no access to the new construction through the building!
Good “chain” BBQ for dinner last night.

Un-air conditioned in Miami in July? Yikes.
I’m cleaning up a lot of WLF in this humidity. Needs to get done today as I hit the road tomorrow.
Also needs to get done before it gets too hot, and I have the time to shower to meet friends for lunch on Chamblee.
Busy, busy, busy
