Yesterday I brought my golf clubs to Sanitary Not so that she can hand them over to my fake nephew to whom I promised them when I was in Raleigh.

    Wordle in 4.

The new piece of hose is on the tractor. Next step is replacing the filter and filling the system. I stopped by a hydraulic shop in Turin and they didn’t even charge me for the 4″ of hose.

I was going to do a little test ride of the recumbent, but the evening got away from me and it was still very hot. Heavy rain overnight woke me a couple times.

    • No rain fell on WLF last night, unfortunately.
City of Atlanta water fell on it this morning.

Given the forecast for the next week I have adjusted my irrigation schedule.

    • Jenka says:

It was 96 with a feel of 105 as we were leaving for dinner last night. I saw people running in Va-Hi and thought they were crazy. Even in my most crazy workout days I did not run at 5:00 pm when it’s this hot. That’s what mornings are for.

  2. Does anyone know if the Wilson 100 is happening this year? And if so, on which date and where would I go to register?

wordle in 4 – with the help of google – I could not figure it out.

Heading to Iowa tonight, its finally time to put Dad into a nursing home. Figured I’d help my brother get him settled in, I’m sure this will not go smoothly.

    • Oh, this is tough. I wish nothing but the best for you, Barb.

I often wonder what the hell I am going to do, assuming I live to old(er) age, when my time for that comes. Since I doubt starting Wee Little Farm at Final Chapters Estates will ever happen, I am considering “intentional communities” and “55+” complexes.

    • Jenka says:

Good luck to you, Barb. It’s the best thing for him, but it’s hard (and a lot of work).

      • Barb says:

oh, its a good thing, its been ALOT for my brother to deal with day to day.
Only really bad thing is the cost -its like $10,000-11,000 a month now. Tom said basically $350/day. What a deal.
Dad still has money, but if he lives to 110 as we have joked, it won’t last that long.

    • Steve says:

Hoping all goes well. So glad we never had to go through that with either my or Debbie’s parents.

    • Bob says:

Tough call but probably the right one. Best of luck on this going as smooth as possible.

  4. FWIW, the reason Wordle angered me today is because I used today’s solution as a stater twice this year.

  5. Jenka says:

I had a quiet day working from home yesterday, it was a nice way to ease back into work. And that concludes “vacation season” for this year, from this day forward I will be slogging it in the office. I need to start playing the lottery. After that we went out for our usual Monday night sushi dinner.

  6. Bob says:

Went for another ride last night, I am loving my new bike! I have ridden 6 of the last 7 days! Once I got in to the woods the temp wasn’t quite as bad, it was bad just not enough to deter me.
Taking a few days off though, tonight going to pack for the NC trip, tomorrow is bowling night, and then it is off to NC. Looking forward to the trip, and the shennanigans!

  7. Not sure how my “lawn” grew without rain, but it looked ratty. Just finished mowing it ahead of the week of rain predicted.
