It’s Gone, It’s Atta Here

And now I wish I had actually changed blogging software this weekend. I’ve been trying to get this post up for over two hours…

I Was Captured By Robots!!!
On Friday night I went to The EARL to see Captured! By Robots with my friends Stacy and Phil. Oddly (at least to me) this was their virgin voyage to The EARL.

I have to say that I had a really fun time. Captured! By Robots is an act which must be seen to be believed. Their (his) music, which consisted mostly of 80s cover songs, left a little to be desired, but the visual was well worth it. I’d have pictures to share if I fought my way closer to the stage.

By night’s end I was, um trashed. I realized this the next day when I woke up on the bed in my guest bedroom. I have never slept in my guest bedroom before. Additionally the lights in my master bedroom and bathroom were on so I must have walked through them in order to get to the guest bedroom. Good Times. Good Times.

However I Was Not A Fir-Ju Welled Or Luceroed
I was planning to go to Lenny’s on Saturday night to see A Fir-Ju Well, and back to The Earl to see Lucero in Sunday night. However on both ocassions I was too pooped to go out. Rats!

Cargone Magazine?
The Magazine Death Pool blog is reporting that Cargo magazine has called it quits.

You may not be able to tell from my appearance, but I was a dedicated reader of Cargo. For the unititiated Cargo was one of those Maxim-like magazines which highlighted what the upcoming trends in fashion and electronics are.

Sometimes Taking Pictures Can Be Educational
I learned something this weekend. According to the Marta employee who flagged me down it is illegal to take pictures inside a Marta station. It’s something to do with 9/11, terrorism, the fact that we should no longer have civil liberties, and Big Brother.

Although this really doesn’t bother me too much because there is not a whole shitload to snap inside Marta stations I was disappointed that I could not take a picture of the architectual details inside the Five Points station. Luckily I got an unexpected shot on the escalator I was taking to get to the place I wanted to shoot. Here it is; because I didn’t update my blogging software this weekend you should click it for a better view.

Going Up!

Pretty cool if I do say so myself.

Patio A Go-Go
Leaving the Inman Park Marta Station on Saturday I noticed that The Patio has once again gone out of business. This is too bad because I really liked their pizza and always thought that it was a great place to take a date (back in the Olden Days when I had those).

And now for some ideas stolen from LiveJournal…
Current Mood – merely bothered
Current Music – Sirius Satellite Radio, Channel 26 playing Of Montreal — “Wraith Pinned To The Mist And Other Game”
Website Of The Day – Are you into trendwatching? Trendwatching is an entire website dedicated to identifying emerging consumer trends.

If you ever want a quick glance of the sites I’ve picked for my Websites Of The Day, you can check them out on del.icio.us, my user name is InsideThePerimeter (go figure), and they are all tagged as “blogged.”

Exercise (b)Log – biking, 50 miles on Sunday

Cheers!

50 *flat* miles (Silver Comet). I may go OTP to play Sunday. It may depend on where the Black Sheep is to be held that day.
