Not Exactly The Fireworks We Wanted

Mother Nature’s lightning show is all over Atlanta right now. I wonder if they ever cancel or postpone fireworks shows, and if so when do they shoot them off? I mean it’s not like they can be returned, right?

In years past when this has happened (the last one I remember noticing was…1995?) they rescheduled them for a week or so later.

That would be excellent. I was too tired from my early morning activities to get out to a fireworks display with the camera.

Decatur’s web site says that their rain date is Sept 3 – which seemed kind of odd to everyone I talked to last night. I think Centennial Park will try theirs again tonight.

  4. Weather perimitting I’ll be at the Braves game tonight. September 3rd is not too odd since that’s the Sunday before Labor Day.

Sometimes they just reschedule for the next night – so maybe there will be some tonight. I saw my fireworks on TV, Lenox did theirs about an hour or so later that planned. Taking a red eye home from Vegas and going straight to the Pub Crawl did me in…… I’m starting to think I’m getting old……. wait, I am old.
