Buy Me Some Peanuts And Crack Addicts

I Saw Some Fireworks Last Night
Although they weren’t the kind I was expecting to see.

I went to the Cardinals/Braves game but decided to leave the camera equipment in the car due to the sketchy weather forecast. Much to my surprise (and dismay) the only thing raining down once the game started were Braves runs. I left the game sometime in the sixth inning, I think that the score was 10-1 when I departed.

As I laid around the house when I got home I heard the real fireworks bursting in the distance.

Promoting The Hood
Yesterday I received a nice email alerting me to a theater group located in East Atlanta. While I had never heard of Out of Hand Theater previously I am looking forward to attending some of their productions and have happily added them to the right hand galley under my East Atlanta Businesses heading.

Look Out! I’m About To Use The ‘T’ Word
You’ve read it all before, “I am tired of being fat!”. Today I start my tr, tr, training. *shudder* I’ve worn the running shoes and packed a bag to go out for a four mile run/walk/gasp/struggle at lunch. Of course it will be raining by then, but if I am going to be dedicated to losing weight for the weddings I’m` attending in September, and to run the Atlanta Half Marathon in a sub two-hour time again (not accomplished by me since 2001), I must start now.

Besides, if I start tr, tr, training today than I’ll feel guilty not packing workout clothes for my upcoming trips.

To all ye who wish to start a pool on my finishing time for this year’s half marathon I say “Let the wagering begin!” Shit, I’ll even start looking for a Web 2.0 app that will let you set up the pool online.

Back To The Ted Again
Once again weather permitting I’ll be down at Turner Field. Tonight my plans are to attend the Reds/Braves game with my friend Mike. Even if the weather was to be perfect the camera gear would be staying at home because tonight will be a laid back game. Hell, I might even drink a beer tonight.

What Am I? Chopped Liver?
I found out today, through Maigh’s blog that my friends Stacey and Andy have had their first child. I still think that Stacey could have held out until Jully 22nd. Maybe they were going to wait until my birthday to tell me so I’d think that the child was born on the same day as me? Man, I have such great friends! 🙂

And now for some ideas stolen from LiveJournal…
Current Mood – meh
Current Music – Sirius Satellite Radio, Channel 26 playing Tilly & The Wall — “Bad Education”
Website Of The Day – The Out of Hand Theater is part of a larger group called the Atlanta Coalition of Performing Arts. If you are into the arts scene go check it out and see what you can find.

If you ever want a quick glance of the sites I’ve picked for my Websites Of The Day, you can check them out on del.icio.us, my user name is InsideThePerimeter (go figure), and they are all tagged as “blogged.”

Exercise (b)Log – nothing

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

New reality show started last night, Rock Star Supernova. I kind of like it, music is all the rock stuff I grew up with as well as recent stuff, and I love the judges, Tommy Lee & 2 other rockers. I think as the show goes on, their comments will be awesome. I know, like you need another mindless TV show to watch, but it is summer time. That is what Tivo is for!

You already know this, but just as moral support – it’s tough getting back into the training groove when you’ve been out of it for awhile – especially in the summer heat, but hopefully in a few weeks it’ll stick! Good luck! I look forward to hearing more about your tr-tra-training.

I’ve done the Classic route above – hilly but one of my favorites.

  7. Thanks for the moral support, Susan. It is much appreciated.
