TV Roundup
I think that I am caught up from my time away, with the exception of the shows I missed because of the power outage at my house on Saturday night.

Ta Ta, Sa Rah – Oh man this season of Hell’s Kitchen is crazy! I would have lost a lot of money in Vegas betting against Virginia. I wouldn’t trust that ditz with my lunch money, nevermind running a restaurant in Las Vegas. The woman couldn’t even remember the name of a cleaver!!! Me thinks Chef Ramsay might be thinking with a different head. While I’ll shed no tears to see Sarah depart I did think that constantly calling her a cow went a bit over the top.

Don’t Kick the Goggles Boogie – I am watching Big Brother, although not all that religiously. It’s not as bad as I feared, but not as good as I hoped. I’ve gotten this far into the show so I will probably ride it to the end, however I am not sure that the dvr will be set to record it in the future.

Eats Atlanta
My ‘hood has a new restaurant. Located at the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Flat Shoals Avenue it’s called “Honey’s Kitchen” (too soon for a website I guess) and will serve up breakfast and lunch. I hope it does well as I never seem to be able to sufficiently stock my refrigerator with breakfast foods.

I found out about the opening of Honey’s Kitchen while eating at Cantina La Casita. I was a “good boy” and drank only water, however I did order the carnitas special for dinner. The meat, which was too fatty in my opinion, was grilled to perfection and once the excess fat was removed was quite delicious. I’m normally not one to order specials (although my old friend Sother always said to order them because they are usually better that’s why they are special) but I am a carnitas lover and had to try it.

Paste Rock ‘n Reel Festival Having A ‘Hood Connection?
While in Chicago I started thinking about last year’s Paste Magazine‘s Rock ‘n Reel Festival and hoping that it would be on again this year. I may have gotten at least part of my answer as I noticed a reference to the Rock ‘n Reel Festival on The EARL‘s website for their September 22nd (Magnolia Electric Co.) and 23rd (Jose Gonzales) shows. If any of you Paste Kids read this, could you give me confirmation?

Returning To The Run Around
Assuming no lightning storms tonight I’ll be out running at George’s (need to get back to running). However don’t be shocked when I turn down beer. That’s right, I am trying to cut back on my beer consumption. Notice that I did not say that I am giving up beer entirely; I’m not that stupid. 🙂

What Happened To The CD Pick?
Truth be told, my internal calendar kept telling me that yesterday was Monday instead of Tuesday so I completely forgot. When I went to Metacritic last night to see what was I missed, there was only one release on their calendar. Therefore, I choose to take a pass this week.

And now for some ideas stolen from LiveJournal…
Current Mood – fair
Current Music – Sirius Satellite Radio, Channel 26 playing Art Brut — “Emily Kane”
Website Of The Day – This is a bit of a different site today. Some people have gone and redesigned familiar company logos using Web 2.0 mindsets. The results are actually really cool.

If you ever want a quick glance of the sites I’ve picked for my Websites Of The Day, you can check them out on del.icio.us, my user name is InsideThePerimeter (go figure), and they are all tagged as “blogged.”

Exercise (b)Log – none, timing didn’t work out for me yesterday

Cheers,

Too bad you aren’t watching Rock Star, it is such a train wreck of a show, I just have to watch. Last night was one of the best ones yet. Tommy Lee is just a nutcase. Plus, with Tivo, I can watch it in 30 minutes or less. I love my Tivo.

Yeah, Rock Star just didn’t do it for me. It was too much of a trainwreck for me.
