Start Again

Yesterday I wrote all this bullshit that I was planning on putting out today. After re-reading it I saw it for the crap that it was and tossed it. Remember this statement because it means that I think the stuff below is better than the stuff I pitched. LOL!!!

Can You Name The Seven Natural Wonders Of Georgia?
Last weekend’s trip down south took me to one of the seven Natural Wonders of Georgia. Can you name them? I’ll give you a hint that neither The Georgia Aquarium, nor Spaghetti Junction are on the list.

If you are interested in the list you can look them up at this site.

btw- I was only able to name three. The closest one to Atlanta slipped my mind.

I like this picture because it contains a point of reference, which just so happens to be the hasher named Oops!

Can You Find The Man?

I’m Ready For My X-Rays Mr. DeMille
Oh it’s that time of year again. This morning I have to go to the dentist for my semi-annual teeth cleaning and annual set of x-rays. While my teeth are straight (as is the rest of my body) they have not proven to be of the highest of quality so I always dread trips to the tooth-doc. I think I’ll eat some crunchy peanut butter before going in just to make their job a little bit tougher.

Now That’s Entertainment!
There will be a more in-depth account of last night’s play published later on today when I resurrect my “Stuck On The Connector” feature of this blog.

What a cheap date I made myself last night. Even though I was not going to eat dinner I couldn’t resist the lure of a Your DeKalb Farmer’s Market samosa. A delicious pyramid of ground lamb wrapped in a crunchy deep fried pastry and smothered in a sweet, yet slightly spicy sauce. Even better, this pocket of goodness cost me a whopping 75 cents! (okay, 80 cents with tax)

After satisfying my craving I headed over to the Push Push Theater where I was to see Out Of Hand Theater‘s performance of “Nobody Hear But Us Chickens”. The shortened summary is this — I had a great time and would recommend going to see it soon as it’s run ends on November 19th. If you can’t make this performance you may want to keep tabs on Out Of Hand Theater and catch a future show that they put on; they are a talented bunch.

Time Shifting
Until yesterday I did not realize that this blog didn’t “fall back” automatically when the time changed a few weeks ago. Strange huh? I am usually a stickler for that sort of shit but for some reason this one tripped me up. All is fixed now so you can start sleeping well again. I know that it must have been bothering you…

On Tonight’s Docket
If I am up to going out tonight and tickets still remain I’ll be heading to Center Stage, or Earthlink Live, or Center Stage Atlanta, or whatever the heck that place is called to see She Wants Revenge. As an added bonus I think Pretty Girls Make Graves is opening.

Two reasons exist for me not purchasing a ticket for this show in advance. One is that there was an outside chance that I would be traveling for work today (which you may gather I am not). The larger reason was that the only non box office ticket broker was TicketBastard and I refused to cough up their exorbitant fees. I kept meaning to swing by the box office to purchase a ticket but just never did.

CD Pick Of The Week
Even though it is getting very mixed reviews and I have yet to hear it I am going to pick “So Divided” from … And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead.

Why? Because I have enjoyed the Trail Of Dead’s previous releases and I will be seeing them this Thursday night at Masquerade.

Sometimes my picks are that simplistic.

And now for some ideas stolen from LiveJournal…
Current Mood – meh
Current Music – Sirius Satellite Radio, Channel 26 playing Mew — “The Zookeeper’s Boy”
Website Of The Day – I bet you didn’t even know that there used to be an old Georgia Encyclopedia and now there is a New Georgia Encyclopedia. Neither did I, at least until yesterday.
Exercise (b)Log – none

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]
