You Can Call Me “Slim Pickens”

Not because I’m losing weight, but rather today’s post will also be lame and I don’t foresee that changing a whole lot in the immediate, but temporary, future. It’s already been an insane morning and I’ve yet to get started.

I would like to publicly thank ITP-Reader Barb (and her hubby Allan) for feeding me a delicious meal, serving me quality wine, and replacing the rim tape on the rear wheel of the Red Rocket.

  1. Barb/Laura, if all goes to plan we’ll be leaving our office to head for Las Tortas Locas at 11:30am.

  2. Barb says:

I’ll leave a little after 11, to drop the car off & have Martha come meet me.

I was a little curious about the late blog post, I didn’t think you drank TOO much last night, but until you posted I wasn’t sure….. glad you enjoyed dinner.

Hope the ride from Lam’s to the office wasn’t too “interesting” this morning.

  3. Duke and I met at Lam’s around opening time and rode over together. I tried to kick his ass, but he rides at my level and was barely off my back, except for the long sweeping downhill where my larger mass proved beneficial. 😉

We averaged our odometers (I installed the new one this morning and I question as to when it will fall off) and the ride was a mere 6.3 miles.

  4. Steve says:

I think y’all need to get pre-approval of these late morning blog posts.

  5. It’s just life getting in the way, and my method for easing you all in to the oddly late and short posts when I’m on vacation in later time zones. 😉

  6. Steve says:

I think you need to consider putting up your posts late at night while you’re on vacation so we can start first thing in the morning giving you grief. We could have your whole life mapped out by the time you wake up!

  7. That strategy has crossed my mind, minus everyone mapping out my life, that is.

  8. Martha says:

Ugh, life…it gets in the way of so much fun stuff…it was so nice this morning. I really wish I had gotten out of bed and gone for a run. Wednesday is my rest day and I needed it…but oh boy did it feel nice out. I’m now working from home on Thursdays, I see a run after the gym in my future.

It looks like I might just get on my mt. bike this year. Jerry suggested hitting some trails when we are in WV next month. I’m looking forward to the trip.

  9. Barb says:

and – I hope you “enjoyed” the Grove family banter at dinner – I’m sure you learned way too much about things you didn’t know you wanted to know about.

Martha – what? Jerry wants to go biking?

  10. Martha says:

Jerry likes biking…just doesn’t have a bike. We are going to rent some while there (not sure if it will be worth it to take the bike all the way up there).

umm…wonder if Greenbriar has a CF gym close by, lol.
