I Will Survive

Sorry for the late posting, I’ve been giving updates to people in the office. That’s right, I’ve returned to work. Even getting stuck in traffic this morning beat the shit out of the way I spent last Monday. And this will be super short because I’m way behind schedule.

Walk This Way

You put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walking across the floor

You put one foot in front of the othere
And soon you’ll be walking out the door.

Well, I’m “walking” again. I smell like Tiger Balm (heating gel). My spirits are improving and I’m looking forward to drinking spirits (beer/wine) again.

I once again bow in thanks to ITP-Readers Martha and Betsy for taking care of me. Martha shuttled me to get the police report (which may be in my favor), my doctor, and the hospital (though it turns out I didn’t need to go there); in addition she brought over more food for me. Betsy, who furnished dinner for me all week also stopped by on Saturday to drop off some milk and fruit. Great friends, to whom I am deeply appreciative.

Okay, I need to do work since I’m at the office. I’ll return to “better” blogging tomorrow.

well finally – I was starting to think you took too many of those pain meds………

gald you made it to the office.

  2. Thanks. I’m still not “right” with both the walking and occasional feeling of pressure within my head (like a mild headache). I’m hoping each corrects themselves as time goes on.

Of course I’ve also been too “busy” to eat today, so only having coffee — for the first time in over a week — probably isn’t helping matters.

  3. Martha says:

Well it’s about time, I was beginning to think you had ‘fallen and couldn’t get up’.

WTF was up with traffic, Sync said traffic was ‘moderate’ for my drive to work…uh, no, traffic was backed up 3 or 4 blocks to get on the connector. I drove all the way up Piedmont to get on I85.

I barely ran this weekend, ended up at the gym then 4 miles through Grant Park. I did stay busy, I installed some shelfs in the shed, started moving stuff out there, got 85% of the caulking completed and I think I’ve picked out paint colors. I built (a really ugly) new top for my patio table and took three dogs for a walk at the same time.

It looks like I lost a surge protector in yesterday’s power outage. I got pretty freaked out when I couldn’t restart the computer. I ordered a ‘smartstrip’ from Amazon, I’m curious to see how it works.

  4. Barb says:

Martha – where did you find a third dog?

  5. Martha says:

My neighbor was out of town so I was taken care of Barney for him.

  6. bob says:

Welcome back to the world Paulie!

Don’t forget you still need time to heal so don’t overdo it.

  7. Thanks.

Martha when I was driving in I got slowed on 85N at the Brookwood interchange (just past Atlantic Station). There was a small accident which seemed to eff up traffic. And you know this town, one accident is all it takes to screw things up.

This is a bummer, as my new injuries begin to heal some of my genetic defects begin to return. Christ, if it’s not one thing it’s something else…
