Short And Sweet

Forgive my briefness…

I’m up against it today. This morning’s physical therapy session took about an hour and half — oh, and I ran on a treadmill today! Progress. Now, if I get similar good news when I visit the orthopedist at the end of this month I’ll be doing alright.

Last night I played sous chef for ITP-Reader Betsy by preparing some meat for her timpano construction for tonight’s “The Big Night” dinner gathering.

I’ll text you on Sunday to let you know if I can make it for Amazing Race, Allan is working all weekend, so maybe I’ll go visit Buckhead so I’m half way there. I’ll bring something that goes with BBQ if I do……….

I will check with the mizzus, but it would be lovely to attend and see everyone.

Last nights ride excitement was a large black lab on an intercept course… at the last second, we both braked and that is the only reason I’m not suffering from a major case of road rash today!

What was the occasion at Chez Betsy?

We finally watched the last episode last night. I gotta say, I was SO HAPPY the Glitter Goths got booted. I liked them during their first season, I thought they had great attitudes and were quirky. This season they’re just selfish, stupid and mean to the other teams for no reason. Kent annoyed me every single week with his insane selfishness! And Vyxsin annoyed me even more for putting up with it! Good riddance. Honestly, I’m not too hot on any of the teams in the final four, but I guess I would root for Sista Sista.

I would be tempted to come watch, but we’ve got Formula 1 race Sunday morning, and I think one TV-watching date per day is probably my limit. Have fun!

Steve – what is an intercept course? Where/who were you riding?

  5. Steve says:

He was coming straight at me from the side. The neighbor dog had woke him up and he thought he’d see if I was a threat or not.

I was out riding by myself. I had ridden to Grantville and was working my way back home.

Ohhh – I thought it was some bike term I hadn’t heard of 😉

  7. During one of the Top Chef nights Betsy mentioned “The Big Night” and when I told her that I’d never seen it, she insisted we get together, cook italian food, drink Italian wine, and watch the movie. This has turned into a group gathering to be held at Andrea’s and Miles’ house tonight. I was to prepare my own dish but time has been my enemy and Betsy’s dish (the timpano) is labor-intensive, so we got together to prepare portions of it last night.

Glad to hear it was a near-miss and not a direct-strike.
