Sidetracked

Is this November? December? It sure feels that way because work is all-consuming today. I’ll be back tomorrow for a Friday blog, please join me then.

Cheers,

Well, I suppose we can just talk amongst ourselves.

Barb, I have Sunday to myself, as the mizzus will be off doing something horsey, so I’m torn between Wheelhopper and Black Sheep- with Little Easy as the hare, it may well be a Southside trail and I’d hate to miss it. Still waiting on details from the hare- Michelle, you have any inside scoop?

  2. About to run to a meeting….

Little Easy as a hare? January? Is there a Little Easy Cajun birthday party on Saturday night? I feel so damn out of touch these days…

  3. Barb says:

well – you would probably be right on the southside trail with Little Easy, but I don’t know that for sure.

We will probably go to either El Zorrito (oh wait, it’s El Zarape now) or Lucky’s Burgers after Wheelhopper for dinner would be my guess, since we are starting at Roswell Mill. If that convinces you one way or the other. I doubt we’d talk people into coming back to our house……..

  4. Steve says:

If it is, my invite got lost in the mail..

I know how that boy loves his swamp and it will be cold on the ice!!

  5. Barb says:

I rode with Michelle on Saturday, she never mentioned a party, so maybe it isn’t happening, or PROBABLY, it isn’t planned yet?

  6. No Little Easy birthday bash? The world must really be coming to an end this year!!!

I think I just found out why a fire truck sped past me on Moreland Avenue near Little 5 Points this morning -> Several hurt in rush hour pile-up on Ponce. Wow, that looks bad.

  7. Steve says:

Just looked at that link- wow. Back when we lived in Tucker, Ponce was a regular part on my commute when I wasn’t on MARTA and that exact situation- narrow lane and someone crossing over- used to scare the crap out of me. No margin of error with lanes that narrow and with all that traffic in close quarters… only a matter of time.

  8. bob says:

Steve, come out to Wheelhopper. I am providing the adult supervision for the virgin hares (that should give you a small hint as to where the end is :-))

I wouldn’t want to take anything away from Black Sheep but can say Wheelhopper will be much drier than BS.

  9. Steve says:

Ohhh. deck christenings are my favorite!! Still haven’t seen where Easy is starting, so your chances of seeing me are going up.

  10. Barb says:

damn Bob – I hate that last hill…..

  11. Barb says:

And Happy Birthday Bob – since Paulie doesn’t have his FB b-day alerts – he probably doesn’t even know.

  12. Today’s Bob’s birthday? Well damnation, I had no idea (now that I am 100% Facebook free).

Happy Birthday, friend. If I can make it out to the Wheelhopper on Sunday (I’m starting to fight off a cold, and I’m *supposed* to be out shooting in the freezing weather on Saturday morning) I’ll buy you a beer. 😉

  13. bob says:

    Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Barb, as it stands that hill is not in the mix. I may have to do a chicken eagle split there 😎

And it looks like I need to pick up the pace on building some stairs.

  14. Barb says:

you can buy those stair stringers – takes all the fun out of it. (ours were too tall, so we couldn’t use them, that is why Allan got to have the extra fun)
