Alive And Mostly Well

In regards to ITP-Reader Stacy’s comment on last Friday’s blog: I’m alive and mostly well, but I am super-busy.

Cheers,

okay, good! 😀 I worry when I see no blog!

    You know I worry when I don’t see a blog every morning….

How can I have a 3 day weekend and still come back to work and need a weekend? Let’s see… dinner and a wild “card” game, which I can’t remember the name of- you are given a “statement” and have to play one your cards to fill in the blank. Some fairly outrageous, obscene and ridiculous combinations are produced.

Saturday, while Debbie went somewhere to watch online cross country competition from Rolex 3 day, I went exploring the “neighborhood” trying to find paved riding routes. One I had found on the map looked promising, and I was rolling along just fine until that dreaded sign- pavement ends! WTF,O? As I was in my mazda, I didn’t really want to go offroading, but the road lioked pretty good, considering.

Apparently Saturday evening, there was quite the storm, because when we arrived home from the shopping and wedding shower in “the city”, the roads were covered with debris. The neighbor said 40-50 mph winds.

Sunday, Debbie rode a steed, while I went out for a little dirt road exploring on my CX bike. I had to short cut a bit to avoid a huge puddle, and in the process, ran over cactus!! And without a patch kit. Fortunately, no flats while riding, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I go check the bike now and have 2 flat tires.

We also hung the gate for the new pasture! Progress, slowly, is still progress.

I am always glad to have friends who care. 🙂

    Was it Cards Against Humanity?

  4. Steve says:

Yes… I knew it had a goofy name, but damn funny to play. As the hosts said at the start, you only play it with a select group of friends- those that wouldn’t take offense at such raw humor.

I typed a nice long post & its gone.

Weekend was too busy, but most of it fun.
Saturday got some things done around the house, then the Prom From Hell. Not as big of a crowd as I’d hoped, but probably because of the Inman Park festival.
But, it was fun, chatted with some folks we didn’t know very well.

Sunday morning we helped a friend move, he really didn’t have too much stuff, so it wasn’t bad. Spring Dress ride was entertaining that afternoon, it is amazing how many people get “freaked” by the tandem. One stop was at Orpheus, so we got to bother Stacy. Best photo I’ve seen in a long while was taken by Stacy. If you aren’t on FB, you missed it.

  6. Steve says:

That happened to me Friday, and I said F-it.

Why do people get freaked by the tandem? Or is it tandem and dresses?

  7. Barb says:

no, it was more the bike. Like — OMG — look at that!!!! a double bike!!! We just laughed.
other people laughed about the dresses. It was one or the other.

I like that y’all came and “bothered” me! 🙂 What a blast. Everybody loved you guys. And oh, if only I could only share that picture here! I still have it on my phone though so I can show it to you Thursday, Paulie.

Reminder for ITP-readers: a group of us are going to Monday Night Brewing this Thursday if you want to join us. 5:30-7:30 pm
