Grace, Cancel All Of My Appointments Today

Not sure how it happened but I am ill, like seriously ill. I had no alcohol yesterday, but it feels like I have a massive hangover. All night long I awoke and had to use the restroom and when I’d get out from under the mound of covers I’d start shivering and shaking like a skeleton. I don’t feel as bad now though my joints still ache, but am a long way from normal. I will spend my day in bed, drinking fluids, and sleeping when desired. The flu?

If I feel well enough tonight I will be going over to Betsy’s to pay my respects to Reesetard. I hope I can rally.

The rest of this weekend’s agenda is now predicated on my getting well.

Binge Watching
While recuperating I will be using the hell out of my Netflix account. I want to finish “Parks and Recreation”, and watch the remaining six documentary episodes of “Abstract” in my queue. If I have copious amounts of screen time I will rewatch “The Great British Bake Off” seasons 4, 5, and 6 (according to the proper numbering as they aired on BBC) which are currently available on Netflix.

And Paris-Nice is available using my NBC Sports Gold app, so I might watch some of that too.

Make yours a fantastic weekend!

Yeah, that sounds like the flu. Don’t play with it. Seriously.

Debbie has already called to say she pulled up to give Phinney a break today. Hunting 3 days in a row is a bit much on the same pony. She was close in, so bagged it. She just sent a pic of Phinney up to his knees in grass chowing down!

A fairly quiet night last night. Rode CX over to get the truck and made dinner at home. Planning next weekend to go with Debbie to a conference her group is at. Sort of a day trip to Orlando but on their nickel.

Feel better Paulie, and everyone have a beautiful weekend.

getting sick is no fun – hope it goes away quick.

Saturday I’m single, not sure what I’ll be up to.

Sunday we are going to Clifford & Lisa’s to help with floor tile. Oh joy. I’m sure I will be more of an observer and a gofur – there should be almost too many people recruited to help for the space. At least it is just laying the tile – no grout!!!! (or, so I’m hoping)

And speaking of Universal… I went looking for it last night and it was back among the “you don’t subscribe to this” category. WTF,O? Very strange. Glad I got to watch the World Cup race with so many friends working it.

Feel better Paulie! 🙁 That sounds like the pits!

And once you do, if you’re looking to get out of the house, check out the Phoenix Flies program currently going on in Atlanta. It’s a whole bunch of free events (tours, walks, etc.) going on for the next few weeks. In past years I’ve done guided tours of Piedmont Park, downtown Atlanta & the Candler building, and Westview Cemetery in the past. (And remember we almost did the DollHead Trail until we decided to do it on our own last year!)

Sunday I’ll be doing the 22-mile Beltline tour by bus. 🙂 Fun! And you’re in a great position right now to take advantage of some of the weekday events too. Grab your camera and get out there. Soon enough you’ll be working again and wish you had this free time.
