    Rabbit, rabbit.

    • Stacy says:

      Rabbit, rabbit!

True story: as I was standing in front of the mirror this morning (applying mascara, though that’s neither here nor there), I thought: hmmm. I haven’t spoken aloud today yet. Maybe I should say something unique like I do on rabbit, rabbit days — HEY. It *is* Rabbit, rabbit day. Like, legit that really happened. I had forgotten it was that day. So of course I said it.

  2. Barb says:

Sunday went to dinner at a friend’s house, and they gifted us with some tomato plants that they had grown from seed. She planted too many, in case some didn’t grow.
Well – I put them out on the deck when we got home. Got home last night, and they were all seriously droopy, I guess a hot sunny day wasn’t good for them, and a little water would have helped. Allan was afraid we killed them. But – we planted them anyway. This morning they look much better!!! Maybe they will live!!! We will see, I do have a black thumb.

    • ITP Lurker says:

You’re gonna have to try harder to kill tomato plants, Barb. Just because they wilt doesn’t mean they’re dead, they go all DefCon 5 until they get water again. Plants can teach us a lot about resilience. And they very much want and need that sun.

      • Barb says:

Well, usually they grow really well at first, then start dying off from the bottom up. I know if I did some research, I’d be able to figure out what we are doing wrong, but I’m a very lazy gardener, if things grown, they grow, if they don’t, oh well. I’m not putting any real money into it anymore.
After the rabbits came & ate all my beans & other things one year, I gave in. I’m not getting a bunch of fences.

  3. Stacy says:

I just really looked at your stats. It’s been a month already since your hash trail?! Good heavens, where did this month go?

    • Yep.

I was going to hare last night’s trail but another hasher took it first. I can’t hash next Monday, and I will not have enough time to scout for the one after that, so I am considering having on 5/21 but will wait to see a weather forecast closer to the date before signing up.

  4. Once again tried and failed to log onto the Atlanta Hash Yap Yap Forums. The “Contact Administrator” email link appears to be invalid, and I refuse to create a third account. What a mess.

    • Barb says:

Piggy’s Bitch is the admin. I gave up on trying to log in there quite a while ago.

  5. Barb says:

Stacy – since you are the only Midwest person here – did you guys ever do May Day baskets in WI? We used to make little baskets with popcorn & candy, and give them out to the neighborhood. Like a friendly ding dong ditch – we’d leave a small basket by the front door.

    • Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

In NY in elementary school we used to walk around a May pole and wrap crepe paper on it, which sounds a lot dirtier than it really was.

    • Stacy says:

We didn’t. I never heard of them until I became an adult. I wish we had though. What a sweet tradition.

    • ITP Lurker says:

I was born in Chicago but no, never heard of such a thing. As if that’s surprising given my backstory… 🙂

  6. Steve says:

Good morning from New Orleans. An early flight and a little work for a couple of days.

Tried to run last night and got about a mile away from the house with a large calf knot! a nice walk home on a beautiful evening. I brought running clothes, but won’t try unless the calf feels stable.

I learned this morning my friend, the current technical director of USAC is President at the Giro!! Holy F! That is beyond cool.

    Back to work.

  7. Steve says:

If he doesn’t like Randy, something is wrong. He’s as easy going as they come…

    • Barb says:

well – you know the whole deal with USAC & TJ (back to the London Olympics) – but that was enough years ago now, have they changed most of the people?

  8. Trying to book a vacation and remembering why I hate booking vacations – fucking airlines…
