Tired, and moving slowly this morning. I am going to cherish my night at home tonight, doing chores, drinking hot chocolate, and watching “tv”. Who knows, I might be asleep by 8:30pm tonight.

  1. I think that this might be the year that I stop sending Christmas cards; I’m just not feeling festive…

    • ITP Lurker says:

What is this “Christmas card” thing you speak of? Oh yeah, gave that up years ago. 😉 Return on investment just wasn’t there for me.

      • Barb says:

I still send Christmas cards – we took a picture that I think will work – I need to find the real camera – I know I never uploaded it off the camera. I love picture Christmas cards.
Lurker – if you give me your address, I’ll send you 1. (and maybe if you are lucky, I could send you last years, and maybe other years)

      • Barb says:

        and – I’m totally not festive –
the Christmas tree (still in the box) is sitting there waiting to get put up.
I don’t think we will really get any presents for anyone – we have to go buy a stove top, oven & sink so we can get this remodel of the kitchen started!
(and – I still want a new car….. damn Subaru for giving me that loaner)

I find it harder and harder to be “festive”. Maybe it’s a function of getting older. I will get there, eventually…

I finally gave in to the cable box wanting an internet connection… and it still didn’t let me hit the Google dongle connected to the other port on the TV. Grrrrrrr…

Cooked a Home Chef meal last night that had been in the fridge a bit too long. I think the chicken was OK, but it didn’t pass Debbie’s sniff test after it was cooked, so she ate around it and tried to kill the dogs by feeding it to them. I know at least Brownie made it through the night as I let him out to patrol this morning.

Cold standing on the MARTA platform this morning…

we ate leftovers – we have way too many leftovers.
but – the soon to be turkey soup is ready – Allan made WAY TOO MUCH broth, but we have plenty of turkey – just need some mixed veggies and some wild rice (and noodles – I’d rather have noodles)

    • Debbie Brady says:

That chicken was bad and you know it! You didn’t eat yours either. 😂 The dogs eat rotten stuff all the time. They probably thought it was too fresh for their taste, but humored me anyway.

I had a notion to finally put up a tree again after a 5 or 6 year hiatus, but the notion may have passed. We go through the motions of a bare minimum for Christmas. It’s kinda pathetic, but I don’t see it changing.

  3. Fans of Courtney Barnett (like me!) can relive summer in Piedmont Park with these videos shot there last year.

Oh, had I only known at the time…

    • Barb says:

hidden? you can’t hide nasty cauliflower from me.

    • Challenge accepted! I know what I am bringing to your next party… 😂

      • Barb says:

        don’t do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • Steve says:

You bury it in enough cheese, you never know it’s there.

What the dogs have been bringing home has been more fresh than that chicken. (i.e. the deer shank I tripped over when I left this morning, strategically placed on the steps of the deck!)

    • Free “Lunch and Learn” lunch was pasta from Jason’s Deli so I guess that I will be making the soup tonight.

      • Barb says:

I had to go to East Cobb to Target & the Eye doctor to get a glasses adjustment – I noticed a building that had been quite a few restaurants (usually nicer ones) is now a Jason’s Deli.
but – I went to Which Wich – my 2nd favorite sandwich shop after Jersey Mike’s.

  4. I think my hair can officially be labeled as “thinning on top”. 😢
