I love a parade, so I am going to one even though the weather remains shitty.
No software update occurred, so the blog is still alive…
I hope a lot of people can get to the parade – I can’t.
Hyox party was entertaining – drank plenty so yesterday was a slow lazy day for us.
How was the Black Sheep trail & party?
Trial was okay. Amazingly (because it was a holiday trail) I kept my feet fairly dry, which was good since I forgot to pack shoes for the end.
Party was fine, we did circle in Sani’s basement.
And there was MUCH rejoicing! Both for the blog and AU.
Wet,wetter, wettest. Ugh. Joined some Scottish friends to see Celtic Thunder at Symphony Hall Friday evening. Think Irish Boy Band… complete with kitchey songs, costume changes and Irish kilts (solid color, not tartan) for the finale’.
Saturday was a hunting day! Only Debbie and I joined friends to road whip. Debbie’s horse Murphy was in the field an managed to toss his rider. That’s why she is getting rid of him. Fortunately, the lady was fine.
Saturday evening, we learned we had burned through our 50Gb of data that should have lasted until the 28th!! We still have internet, but it is p a i n f u l l y slow.
We started watching “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”. Maybe if we had Internet at home, we’d actually binge it, but so far just 4 episodes of Season 1.
Bought a jacket and some boots at the motorcycle store prior to dropping my CX bike off with the second best mechanic in the Grove family. Thanks Allan.
I’m up to episode 3 or 4 of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”. It’s really well done. Another Amazon series that got off to a slow start but grew on me is “Patriot.”
I’m so not a binge-watcher. Generally 60 minutes of TV per day is way plenty for me. Periodically I’ll let my hair hang down and watch 2 episodes back to back of something. I get twitchy sitting still for too long.
Mrs. Maisel is hilarious. I’m glad they finally just came out with season 2. I understand why they got nominated for some Emmys.
Finally in the office…
I’ve started rewatching Mrs Maises, season 1, in preparation for watching season 2.
Parade was good, even with lousy weather (which could have been worse).
Hidden benefit to the parade today, traffic on the connector going south was clear as a bell except for a bit of bunching near Williams Street. Reminded me of the Olympics, when everyone left town because they feared a Y2K style clusterfuck. Apparently I chose a great day to get my car maintained, the Uber ride back was easy-peasy.
Man, this weather sucks. Cold and rain combined are definitely not my favorites.
