I had a really good weekend – lacrosse was fun on Friday night, on Saturday I did some city-biking with Bonnie over to Avondale Estates for the Frühlingsfest and then to Georgia Beer Garden, and yesterday some of the readers of this space and I rode on the Silver Comet Trail. A really good weekend.

Still fighting some health issues, and due to his popularity I won’t get to see Ham’s doctor until April 19th. Dangen.

And such nice weather! A sunny weekend with no rain, yay! 🙂

I was in your hood yesterday too, did the BeltGrind event. Basically rode the entire beltline, roughly 20 miles. Fantastic day to be outside playing.

    • As Bonnie would say, *fist bump*

Bob, cool! Paulie and I registered for it last year but bailed due to the weather. So we hashed my very first Black Sheep instead LOL. We still wear our BeltGrind T-shirts and allow people to believe we’re bad asses 🙂.

great weekend – got plenty done outside, including some exercise.
Fence is fixed, tree cut up enough to get it out of the way – and way too many hostas split. It is amazing how many hostas you have when you dig them up & split them- my hands hurt from trying to break them apart.

I can tell I rode my road bike yesterday for the 1st time in forever – I’m a little sore.

Predictably, the Beltline Eastside Trail was a zoo on Sunday. However, our objective was New Realm Brewery (just South of North Avenue right on the Beltline). This used to be the Turner Field Tech facility (think Braves game truck, etc.).

Huge patio directly on the Beltline and rooftop seating, really nice inside and bar. Much “look, we’re a brewery” paraphernalia. They only serve their own brews, 14oz for like $6 and 4oz tasters for $2. Surprisingly good food. Homemade ice cream sandwiches and banana pudding. Woof! Jan parked at PCM and walked, I did my usual easy ride from Piedmont Park.

It was packed with we departed, like 1:30p.

When I got back to my car at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens (packed) my tires were…yellow. Hopefully, today’s rain will remediate much of that.

BTW: My right elbow is sore/stiff. Bike riding, handlebars? Old age? Anybody?

Tip: Call Dr. B’s nurse, same day appointment’s are available. Expect to leave a VM for a callback. If not same day, then next day for sure. The online deal has a “contact if cancellations” but that’s never worked out for me.

I’ve been dragging my feet on my taxes. No big deal, I don’t make enough $$ to worry with it.

well – you might make enough money to worry about taxes……… with all the changes, I’m curious – so if you would, let us know when you do yours.
A friend that doesn’t make all that much money told me last night she owes $800 – she’s never owed before.

        Will do…

Last year we got federal and state refunds totaling $3,200. This year we paid $193 (net = owed federal – state refund). I feel we got off lucky compared to many. But there are so many variables I don’t know how you can really compare one person’s situation to the next…

And a good time was had by all.

The Belt Grind looked like a blast. Will have to keep that on my radar for next year, or maybe talk some experienced rider into taking us on a guided tour?

So nice riding yesterday. Allan and I solved all the worlds’ problems in 26 miles. Now if they would only elect us.

Got home, napped, washed vehicles (!!!) and cooked dinner.

    A lovely weekend.

BTW: I just checked MyChart, Dr. B has an appointment opening “April 2, 11:00am”.
another two on April 4th, April 5th, etc.

Did you register as “new” or “current” patient? <– there's your problem.
I chose "current", the first time I ever saw him — no problem.

    Get in there…
