If I had to give yesterday a title it would be “Caloric Indiscretions”.

After leaving the Waschsalon I headed into Little 5 Points where I consumed beer and boiled peanuts at Wrecking Bar, and then beer and barbecue at Yacht Club, before ending my night with a piece of (free!) cake provided by Horizon Theater.

None of that today! Well, I may drink some beer.

Happy and safe Memorial Day weekend to you all!

A fairly quiet evening of grass cutting. I was dressed to go for a run after the mower and I had some quality time, but it was still fking hot, so I gave up.

Glad to see Dawgy Style up and moving around. I always wonder how health issues get missed in people like him, who is pretty obviously in good shape. Remember Cooler Killer? Same thing. Makes me nervous sometimes, but I don’t guess you can live your life in fear.

Barb, how’s the kitchen? Need some untrained labor?

      Steve –
well – now that you ask – TJ is in Winston Salem for a race all weekend – want to hear Allan get pissed & yell expletives trying to put up this tongue & groove ceiling on Sunday?
We have figured out it really takes 3 people to get these boards up.

      • Steve says:

        I think I’m available Sunday…

        • Barb says:

I’ll ask Allan if he wants to work on this Sunday, but I’d love for you to come help. (I always feel like we are going to kill TJ, but I know he enjoys helping)

        • Barb says:

Steve – Allan wants to take Sunday off from that ceiling (it was quite aggravating yesterday). He has other things he wants to do errands wise, plus, a pool party invite happened, he might want to goof off a little.

    • Not that we should need one, it’s another reminder that we need to live each day to the fullest.

I hope Dawgy recovers quickly, and fully.

Okay, so I know hares lie, but I have to ask: can I walk home from the end on Monday night easily? Thinking of coming but walking to the start if I do.

    • If you can walk to the start, you should be able to walk home from the end. 😉

That being said, I haven’t completely figured out the trail yet. 🙄 But I have a good idea of what I want to do.

  3. Bonnie says:

I didn’t know anything happened to Dawgy so I just read the AH4 page. Glad he’s doing better! I haven’t logged into Facebook since May 11-12 so I’m behind on all “news.”

Definitely have some kind of illness, probably from walking around Munich in the freezing rain for 2 days. Ugh. Hopefully it will pass quickly. It’s not horrible, but enough that it’s going to slow my roll.

Paulie, I assume you saw “Cake”? Was that the play you had to reschedule because of STU? Was it a good show?

    • Oh noes!

Partial correct. I did see “Cake” but that wasn’t a reschedule. Whilst you were in Germany/Austria Horizon Theater had a one-day sale for tickets to “Cake” and I panicked and chose last night’s performance. The play for which I had a ticket conflicting with STU was called “I Love to Eat” and sadly it closed before I could attend.

The show was good, though I had a tough time buying one of the character’s performance.

      Feel better soon.

  4. Dangen! Thought I could do something different and hit up the Value Village/ Aldi combo on Memorial Drive, only to rediscover that the Aldi over there is currently under renovation. Doppel Dangen!
