Happy Canada Day friends. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

After a weekend of traipsing through my back yard on Saturday and the woods (getting another tick on me while scouting trail) yesterday, I’ll spend this evening doing a little in-town Moonlite hash. Why I didn’t check to ensure that my headlamp, which has been deemed a requirement tonight, was in my hash bag this morning, I don’t know.

NRL RIP (for me)
If you’ve read this space during the past year and a half you’ll remember that I’ve acquired a growing appreciation for Australia’s National Rugby League. After a short hiatus the league resumed play last week, but the Fox Soccer Match Pass app that I have been using to watch the games has stopped showing them. Yesterday on a lark I emailed customer support, only to receive the bad news that they will no longer be airing non-soccer matches in the app. 😡😢 No further explanation was provided.

Here’s my food/exercise summary for June:

Spending the day preparing for my sister, her husband, and my two nieces’ evening arrival. LOTS to do since I spent the weekend doing otherwise. Tomorrow will be a day-o-fun, then they hit the road again Wednesday morning to continue on to their real vacation in Hilton Head. They come back through and crash here Sunday night on their drive back home. Too bad they won’t get here in time to do mine and Wee Little Bit’s Black Sheep trail, but they couldn’t anyway with the kiddos…

I went golfing Saturday morning, 1st time in at least 5 years.
It was fun, Breastroke & I decided we need to play more often.
We went to Legacy on Windy Hill – a short executive length course (par 58).
I played really well, so I’m game to go back. Golf can get expensive – about $30 to play 18 holes – and that’s cheap for golf course prices.

Sunday we got the refrigerator moved into the kitchen thanks to ITP-reader Steve, another friend, and a neighbor. Bacon cheddar brats were tasty for lunch. Even moved some stuff into the cabinets. Can’t decide where I want things, so that is really hard.

Had dinner at Dumb BUF & Cowtippers house, with a bunch of other old hashers, Public Enema & Saddle Sores, Pantywaste & Buttsucker, and Silver Shig & his wife, I think she may be Miracle Whip?
Cheesy Tour De France Party is Sunday July 21st. (in case you were wondering)

    • Golfing again, whoa? 🙂 I have been a happy non-golfer for about twenty years.

The 21st is a Black Sheep Sunday, might be a long day before my birthday for me… Oh, and I am laying Moonlite on the 22nd as well!

      • Barb says:

We might, I say might, go to Moonlight tonight.
Katherine needs to bring her bike by for Allan to look at her shifting issues, and not 100% on what time that will be.

I still haven’t been to Enema’s new house, so I hope to make the Cheesy party. May have to help cook up bacon, but, may do the bike ride. Who knows – that’s 3 weeks away.

  3. Steve says:

A bike ride Friday followed by picking up Debbie at Taco Mac and watching the ladies play football.

Chores Saturday followed by sushi for dinner!

A little appliance moving and brat eating on Sunday. Repaired some electric fence last night and cleared the weeds off. Have the tiniest bit of PI behind my left knee.

I swear I did more but can’t remember what!!

Tonight’s in town hash requires a headlight? Under 75 anyone?

Bought tickets for Cirque du Soleil for Nov 15 at 8. C’mon and join us.

    • Yeah, I have to admit that I am not looking forward to going through a tunnel tonight…

    • barb says:

Friday 11/15 – damn that’s some planning…………. I’ll think about it -but damn Cirque is usually so expensive.

      • Steve says:

I started seeing the ads on FB (since I don’t listen to commercial radio or watch much local TV) and wanted to jump. Had to be after October and hopefully a Friday I’m off. There were some cheap seats, but I went with better… $120 a butt.
