Sorry to miss Enema’s retirement party, but I did attend a fun concert at The EARL instead. Last night’s show was Kyle Craft, former lead man of the band Gashcat (I know, neither of those ring a bell.). Having heard much of Craft’s music before, I was surprised how few songs I recognized; I guess he’s already working on a new album.

This morning finds me at the Waschsalon, preparing for this weekend’s hash campout at Red Top Mountain State Park.

It was a good crowd at George’s – Enema picking up the tab for beer & cheese curds.

not sure if I will make an appearance at Red Top, Allan works Saturday, I may come up for the hash, not sure yet.

I drove downtown yesterday with the intention of going to George’s for the celebration, but I was completely whipped all day. Drove home, made dinner and was in bed asleep by before 9. Slept like a rock and feel pretty good today- no clue.

The ankle is feeling better (which no doubt helped me sleep last night).

I think I’m ready for next week. Made a few forms to help score a bit, I have all my assignments and know what I’m looking for. Each of us 4 judges will act as a backup for a particular award or result. Mine are Team GC and verifying the daily grid sheet- given out to teams and officials as to who is still in the bike race and who’s wearing what leaders jersey. Simple stuff until it goes wrong!!

I think TJ is working the Utah race, but no idea who he is working for.
haven’t heard if Kevin is coming to America – I’m so out of the loop.
Have fun! I need another vacation already.

      • Steve says:

We didn’t really get much vacation in the last go round with 2 days in the hospital, so I know I’m ready. We are discussing trying again for the Northeast trip- a shortened version- around Debbie’s birthday in late September.

I’ll try and keep TJ out of trouble- wish me luck.

Barb, from yesterday, yes we need to plan a bowling night!

    • You all know that I am always interested in bowling. Finding a weekend night that is available may be difficult as this is high season for my weekends away.

      • Barb says:

        here’s our open dates
        Sunday evening 8/18
        maybe Saturday evening 8/24 –
Labor Day weekend -we are out of town
Saturday or Sunday 9/7 or 9/8?

      • 8/18 – I will be in Raleigh
8/24 – I am going to Grant Park Summer Shade Festival
        8/31 – Bonnie and I are laying AH4
9/7 or 9/8 are currently open

Told you it was going to be difficult. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  4. Uh oh, it looks as if the Atlanta Hash website is struggling today…

  5. Steve says:

8/24 would work. Paulie can come after the festival.
