Getting mentally prepared to head back ITP this morning. As I always do I had a fun time hanging with the Raleigh Royalty.

This trip included going to an Oktoberfest in August, at which we won a Hippity Hop (Amazon link) relay race, getting us two $10 gift cards from Hi-Wire Brewing in Durham, North Carolina.

  1. The hippity hop race was Saturday afternoon and my quads are still hurting… 😮

If you have a functional bath tub, get a bag of Epsom salt on your way home and pour at least half of a bag into the tub. Sit in the water for at least 30 minutes. It’s good for what ails ya.

Ready to be home. Just 2 hops away!! Yesterday was. A pretty good day. Managed to drive past the field without hitting anyone and have a video to prove it which I’ll try to post on FB when I get home. The other judge car was kind of a cluster all day. They were told to wait for the broom before coming to the finish from the final KOM, but waited even longer and the route signs had already been pulled down. They wandered Park City for a half hour trying to find the bike race. Wow.

Paulie, I think we still have a lunch date for Thursday with KKGB, if she gets back in country.

  4. Hello from Garner, NC where I sit at a Firestone waiting for the tire to get fixed again, or replaced. Fudge! Not more than ten minutes on the road the TPMS went off again, and the suspect tire was about ten pounds too low when I pulled into a Shell station. I certainly don’t trust it to go seven hours at highway speed now.

great weekend away in Ocoee, TN –
the outfitter we rafter with has a great big property with 1 big cabin, little bungalows, RV camp sites (with water & electric) and tent camping.
and- the Bus Bar with live music & food. (band Friday night was the better of the 2)
Great place, and we plan to go again next year, as this was for a Parrothead friend’s brothers birthday, and next year he will be 50.

  6. Still waiting for my car to be done. Moonlite is no longer in the plan, because I don’t see myself getting home in time. Poop.

I just got 4 new tires at Discount Tire in less than 1 hour (but I had an apt)

Stacy is somewhere getting a tire fixed today too.

Its bad tire day I guess.

      • I stopped at Discount Tire first. They wouldn’t repair my tire (when I thought that was the problem) and didn’t have any tires for my car. Firestone I am at is next door.

  7. Still waiting. Rim may be bent? It’s a mystery. Maybe Subaru will have a Labor Day sale and I can rid myself of this?

  8. Barb says:

after driving the Subaru Legacy (the sedan) as a loaner car, if you still want a sedan, I think you’d like it.
Of course I love my Crosstrek.
I think Kat (KKGB) bought her Forester at the dealership in Decatur, I got mine in Kennesaw.

    • Rode in, and looked at Randy’s Crosstrek this weekend. It may be my future ride.

      • Barb says:

I hope you won’t be disappointed in a Subaru. I’ve had a few problems, but they’ve fix them (for a price of course) and in general its been a great car. I’m not a fan of dealerships, but overall it hasn’t been too bad.

  9. On top of everything else I’ve not had lunch and am getting very hungry.

  10. Getting back on the road, hoping for the best.

  11. Steve says:

At least my plane hasn’t had a flat tire. Halfway home in Chicago.
