Good weekend.

On Saturday Bonnie and I rode mountain bikes on the Southside and Westside Beltline trails, as well along the Lionel Hampton Trail. As you do, we treated ourselves to a beer at the newly-opened Wild Heaven Brewery on the way back home.

Yesterday was a Black Sheep day!

Tonight is Bonnie’s (aka Glory Mole) first solo haring. She’s starting from the new Publix on Memorial (at Bill Kennedy) and I am looking forward to seeing what she has up her sleeves.

  1. Aw man, I read that Ric Ocasek died this weekend. I spent a lot of my teenage hours blasting the Cars into my ears via headphones.

      🙁

Best Friends Girl will be stuck in my memory forever.
I was at a high school party, a guy I had met (who had offered to teach me to drive a stick shift car) decided his friend was trying to hit on me – so he blasted that song & locked us out of the house.
I knew then I would Never date him.

Allan got a flu shot & a shingles shot on Friday, and he felt like crap on Saturday, so we didn’t do much. Now I’m afraid to get those shots. (but I know I need to get a shingles shot).

On the exciting news for Engine 6 – they had a good fire yesterday morning – they were 1st on the scene – which meant they got to actually FIGHT the fire.

Sunday’s Black Sheep was tough with the heat & hills, luckily we were able to refill water at the Burnt Hickory parking lot water fountain.

Not sure if we can get into town for tonight’s Moonlight – we’d like to, but ya know – traffic & ITP during the week????

  3. Frustrating technology saved me from myself today. I was going to make an impulse buy on woot.com, but haven’t bought from their site since prior to their accusation by Amazon. I tried, and failed, to link my Woot! and Amazon accounts, and because I couldn’t decided not to spend the $20.
