I’m being lazy this morning, almost as if I were practicing for a weekend of rain…

I am hungry however, so I guess that I should get out of bed soon.

Current situation: Riding in an Uber to the airport, where I hope to catch a standby flight to Tulsa to visit the fam.

A very sad day yesterday. I learned that my Games co-chairman’s wife had passed away over night. She had had some health challenges, but had worked with us all week and seemed to be doing well. I know there were a few occasions where Burt was a little concerned she was overdoing it, but she said she was fine. We really are a big family, so this hits us all hard.

Hug your loved ones and hold them close. Never miss a chance to tell them you love them. You never know when it’s your time.

  3. Hmmm, I see I have a thing arriving in the mail from my health insurance provider. I’m hoping for a new medical card, and hoping against another bill that I have to pay.

so – speaking of insurance, I got a bill for the $20 co-pay for my physical. I’m not supposed to have to pay that. I call, and the billing company says – oh – we will have to look into that. Don’t pay that bill for now. I was thinking – I’m not going to -that’s why I called you! I wonder how many people just pay the $20 in cases like this.

I, for one, just pay the $20 to make something like that go away. The time spent on the phone is simply too excruciating for me. I figure I can earn the $20 back in less time than it will take to be on hold listening to Muzak and then getting unceremoniously dumped from the call.

But I think it’s a business strategy of the insurance companies. Death by a thousand cuts…$20 here, $20 there, it all adds up.

it really didn’t take too long, (this time) so it was worth a try. We will see when I get the bill again – saying past due.
