¡Ay yi yi I’m running late this morning! Well, at least by my metrics.

I have been to Kroger this morning to pick up some snacks, and beer, for the weekend. Even though I tried to be quick, I wasn’t. Part of that was my accidental knocking of a jar of salsa onto the Kroger floor where it crashed and burned. I apologized profusely, and the man was nice enough to allow me to run back and get a replacement jar at no additional charge.

Last night was fun. I drove up to Barb’s and was gifted some old fencing and t posts they used to use in their garden. I guess it’s been awhile since I have been up there to notice that what was once their garden is now well-manicured lawn. We ate snacks and pizza, and drank beer. Good times! And there was also a drop by visit from Sal to round off the evening.

Okay, I have to wrap this up today so that I can pack my clothing and do a little WLF choring before I hit the road.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Goddammit today was my planned cycling day and it’s cold and windy AF. Grrrr! So, I’m making a HUGE Target list but I have $100 in gift cards and various discounts to apply so it’s a (wee little) bit fun. 🤓 At least I’m listening to the new Dropkick Murphys album. 🤘

    • New DM album? You should be listening to the new Manchester Orchestra album. Support local!!! 🤣🤣🤣

    • Barb says:

Bonnie – do you use the Target app? A friend was telling me you can scan what you are looking at & maybe find coupons & other deals. I have not tried it.

      • Bonnie says:

Oh yes. I saved a bunch. It just takes a lot of time, which fortunately I have…

A lovely afternoon yesterday… I rode for an hour without a computer and that was nice. Came home and thought I would enjoy a beer and some cheese and crackers, but Debbie had other ideas. We put a halter on Tanner and I led Daisy while Debbie tried to lead Tanner around in their little paddock. Tanner should follow his mother, right? Well, not exactly. With a lot of cajoling and some pushing, he sort of got it. There was lots of praise and petting and “what a good boy”. We only did it for a few minutes as to not traumatize the poor boy.

Watched a documentary about a guy riding his bicycle from Cairo to Capetown (for those geographically challenged, that’s the length of Africa). While there were occasional times of lovely scenery, it appeared to me to be poor pavement, busy roads and sketchy lodging. I told Debbie I would happily get on my bike and start riding- carrying only a credit card, but perhaps not in Africa.

Our best to the Raleigh Royalty.

Well manicured lawn…. you didn’t look that close.
The sod we laid a few years ago has had many issues, lots of weeds & bare spots. But oh well……
Hope all that stuff will work for you, and you know now where there is more if you need it.
Glad you came over, nice night to hang outside on the deck.

Got all packed, now just wasting time until 1015 to head to the airport.
Allan gets on a cleaning streak before we ever leave town, he’s even dusting.
I vacuumed yesterday, and did that sort of clean up.

      Where to, Barb?

      • Barb says:

Heading to Phoenix to hang with my sister for the weekend, then up to Page, AZ to hike a slot canyon or 2, and check out the Grand Canyon, do some wine tasting, check out Sedona, Jerome & Prescott, AZ.
Then back to Phoenix for the weekend, and hopefully meet up with Jammies & Vero in Scottsdale for a meal &/or beverages.

Though my $190 Target bill net cost was $40 of my own money, my tire picked up a screw driving home and now that must be dealt with at a Sears either in Kennesaw or Douglasville. Won’t be taken care of until Tuesday or Wednesday so I guess I’ll be begging rides to the Rome and Black Sheep hashes this weekend. Or skip. 😢

    • Bonnie says:

Or maybe not, according to the website there are no Sears auto centers in Atlanta metro… Well shit, both cars’ tires have warranty programs with Sears. More Googling and calling to be done… I haven’t gotten tires from anywhere else pretty much my whole life.

      • Bob says:

Bonnie, check out Discount Tire. They usually do flat repair for free as long as the screw is in the center of the tire. If it is at the edge you will have to replace it.
