Wordle in 6 starting with TALES, NYT Mini in 38 seconds, Heardle in 2 seconds. I couldn’t place the initial drumbeat but the guitar is unmistakeable when it kicks in.

11 chapters submitted on the book, 1 to go. Now I need to carve out the time to write it.

    Hang in there, Paulie.

Wordle in 6, and almost couldn’t figure it out. (then I was like, well duh!)
Mini is 2 – back to being slow……

  2. Steve says:

Wordle in 4 and didn’t use AISLE. I could have broken a minute on Mini, but I can’t type.

We’re thinking our vacation destination might be moving a wee bit east- to Scotland! We were already looking at the NE in late July, but if we wait a bit longer, the Tattoo will be going on in Edinburgh. Flights aren’t cheap but are manageable and the dollar is strong. Still looking into what to do and where to go.

    • Barb says:

Scotland sounds fun – I would guess summer time in Scotland is the most expensive time to fly there.

      • Steve says:

Oh yeah, and there aren’t that many direct flights- none from Atlanta. I found Luftansa through Frankfurt for around a grand.

Hotels seem to be cheaper that what we were seeing in Maine.

    • Jenka says:

WOOT! I’m sure you’ve been there, but let me know if you haven’t. Flights are insane these days due to fuel costs. I’m jealous!

  3. Barb says:

Yesterday was a stressful night/morning, Allan’s heart was going in & out of Afib. Usually the pills he has will take care of it. He finally decided at lunchtime he would go to Piedmont, as it wasn’t cooperating. Then – as we were pulling up to the emergency room – back to sinus rhythm. I joked, if only we had driven down there earlier in the morning……. But – saved an ER visit co-pay, and god knows what other costs insurance doesn’t cover. All is fine now. We do know what can triggers it (dehydration & alcohol mainly) and it was a busy weekend. DRINK MORE WATER PEOPLE!!!

    Besides that – nothing new.
Gotta go vote today – have you all voted yet????

    • Steve says:

After a couple bouts of feeling woozy getting off the bike, my cardiologist said to keep hydrated!!!

      Glad he’s feeling better.

    • Bob says:

There are days where I will have only one glass of water. I am trying to get better about it. I have even purchased a smart water bottle that tracks my progress on my phone and lights up when I am falling behind.

    • Scary. I will have to remind myself to drink more water.

      Glad things rectified themselves.

  4. Bob says:

Started collecting all my stuff for BRAG, now to see if it will all fit in to 2 bags 🙂 Only 12 days left!

Should have had Heardle in 2 but second guessed myself and went to 3.

  5. Been out in WLF cleaning up and transplanting. Wanted to run Wee Little Chipper this morning, but am over being outside in this humidity.

Stupidly opened an email I knew I should just delete since it had no sender nor subject, so I am relying on the sand boxing in iOS to have kept me safe.

    • Steve says:

Doh!! Never a good idea. InfoSec sends out tests here every so often. They caught me one time and I was pissed. If they catch you multiple times, you get to go to “re-education camp”!!

    • Bob says:

Fortunately most emails don’t contain the malicious code since it gets picked up in most scanners. It’s the link they try to get you to click on or the attachment they try to have you open is where you get infected.
      You should be good.

  6. Jenka says:

Yesterday’s Wordle in 4 using STEAL. Mini in 1:30-something. Embarrassing, but I was watching TV at the same time. We are re-watching The Wire.

  7. NYT Mini Crossword in 49 seconds

    Wordle in 4

Took my friend’s mare to the clinic to be bred, voted and filled my tank. An exciting morning.

Our vacation plans are all literally over the map. I was checking RV rentals out of Salt Lake City this morning. If we’re going to pay $1,000 for a car rental may as well upgrade to something we can sleep in. Found some really cool self-contained vans that would be easy to get around in.

    • Barb says:

Someday we may do the RV rental thing. it all depends on what asll you are doing, since you don’t have another vehicle to “drive” around. If you go to Zion, you never need a car, they have shuttles.
A friend recently rented a uhaul instead of a car. Cost less, just have to work more on parking at certain places.

  9. Well crap, I was scheduled to get a haircut today but I just heard from the woman who cuts my hair and she is sick. Maybe I will use this as an opportunity to go to Warby Parker to buy new eyeglasses.

  10. Weather is pissing me off because I want to ride tonight but I am not sure whether or not it will rain.
