  1. Steve says:

Wordle in 3 with a starter word of SAINT. Aisle might have made it in 2. Mini in… I don’t want to talk about it.

Hopefully, next Thursday I’ll be heading to Miami for my real job. Once I get approvals, I can make some reservations. The office just started requiring masks again as of yesterday because of a local spike. Fun. Not skerred.

My new alternator belt for the scooter is too wide! There was a change about the time mine was built, so I’m on the cusp. Fortunately, the old one is still in good shape- it was just part of scheduled maintenance.

Eye appointment tomorrow. I’ve received a text, a phone call and an email. OK, I get it!! Appointment with the audiologist on the 10th.

  2. Decided to spend my gloomy day inside the ITP Estate listening to the Giro, cleaning, organizing, and deciding what things I no longer need that will go to Goodwill next week. I will also start making a pile of things I will be taking with me for BRAG Lite.

    • Steve says:

Rui Costa went to the front of the peloton and set it on fire. The team captain came up and said WTF are you doing? They have clamed down and the the gap is going back up. There’s no need to close the gap at this point and there’s no threat up the road.

  3. Barb says:

thanks for the hint Steve – Wordle in 2.
    Mini in 2 minutes.

  4. David says:

Wordle in 2 with LEAST (before reading the blog). Heardle in 1 second. 69 seconds on the mini.

  5. Debbie says:

Wordle in 2 without the hint. Sticking with AISLE paid off today.

Beta testing on my project from hell came back with some expected negative feedback on audio quality issues and prompt timing. Neither of which I can fix without re-recording. I don’t think the powers that be will have the stomach for that. We’ll see.

I have lots of baby tomatoes and even more blooms! I reread the descriptions of the heirloom varieties I have and looking forward to tasting them.

    • Figured you would have a good Wordle day.

      Bummer about the video.

Your tomatoes are much further along than mine. In fact, everything think in WLF seems to be a bit behind schedule this year.

    • David says:

Debbie, I have lots of experience with audio issues on recordings and am happy to share what I’ve learned. Paulie can share my contact info with you.

  6. Steve says:

We got our ‘maters from a friend who’s an expert gardener, so that’s our head start.

    • Makes sense, though I still don’t understand what I am doing wrong because things in WLF seem stunted. I suppose this another learning experience for me…

Also, I have not seen the solitary bees that I saw in ground last year. I did not spray anything in WLF so I don’t suspect that I killed them.

I am getting some cucumbers, but oddly some have already started turning yellow. Poop.

  7. Steve says:

I don’t really think you get enough sun back there. The house basically faces SE, correct?

    • Roughly, yes. Believe it or not the house doesn’t impact sunlight much, but the surrounding trees do block a lot of the Spring/Summer sun. However, they are not “my” trees and are so tall it would be pricey to have them trimmed.

    • This is funny too. My homemade compost has been shooting up volunteer tomato seedlings in pots. So, I spread some of the compost out in a section of the yard to let the seedlings grow, and none have emerged…

  8. Jenka says:

Yesterday’s Wordle in 5 using STEAL. What a shitshow! Should’ve been 3. Mini in 1:59, oh well. I got caught up on one of the words, can’t remember which.

Jealous of everyone going out of town for the holiday weekend. I have zero travel on my summer schedule besides a lawyer conference on Amelia Island in July. Wer wer.

    • With the exception of a few days on BRAG I have no travel planned. That may change based on my increasing need to run away, however. WLF is the biggest thing keeping me here now, but my lack of success and change in life are making me look at things differently.

    • Barb says:

All Ive got on the travel agenda is Iowa. That’s not vacation at all anymore.
      Trying to figure something out.

      • Yeah, a trip to Florida for me won’t be vacation either, even if I take my bicycle.

      • Jenka says:

Yeah, I actually need to go up to Massachusetts to help clean out my parents’ house because they are on the waiting list for an assisted living place. But that’s not vacation, either.

  9. You won’t be surprised to read that I am really struggling this week. Reflection is a powerful kick in the privates.

It’s both sweet and pathetic how much planning and preparation I have done for a future that won’t exist.

  10. I am trying to watch Severance on AppleTV. While I find it interesting I am not following closely enough and may need to restart to understand what is going on.

  11. Barb says:

Periodontist appt was a cleaning & checked my bone density for the implants. Looks like that will happen 6/21. I’m opting for the drugs again, I like sleeping thru this stuff, even if it costs A LOT more money. Then a few months later I will get the crowns – and this saga might be over.

  12. Barb says:

I finally finished Ally McBeal. (the last season wasn’t very good.)
What stupid old series to watch next?
