Here’s my weird question for today:
If your name is “John Doe Jr”, what is your surname? “Doe”? “Doe Jr”?

If your answer is “Doe”, which is what I believe is correct, why do they put “Doe Jr” on the back of football (or any sports) jerseys?

I solved today’s Wordle in three attempts; my starter today was QUEST (I was going to use QUERY, but that has already been a Wordle solution)

To differentiate the person from his father, who has the exact same name. What? They COULD be playing on the same team, it’s possible!

Yesterday’s Wordle in 4 using STEAL, but it was an uuuuugly 4.

For technological reasons we could not watch TAR last night so we watched an episode of the new season of Somebody Feed Phil. While also watching the Phillies demolish the Astros in game 3 of the WS. I hate the Phillies slightly less than the Astros.

  2. Rode the Melton’s last night, nineteen or so miles. Riding in the dark unnerves me, and I managed to jam my left thumb when I hit a bump when putting my left hand back onto the handlebar. Also, I hit a rut in the road at speed near Emory that I am thankful neither damaged my rim nor popped my rear tire.

I’m not a fan of riding in the dark on city streets that have so many potholes, etc.

Went & saw Ticket to Paradise with Annette last night, good cheesy chick flick type movie starring George Clooney & Julia Roberts. Good scenery, not sure if it was actually filmed in Bali, but it was pretty. I’d never spend full price on this movie, but for $6 it was ok.

Wordle in 4 starting with PATIO. Pretty apt word today with regard to how Wordle made me feel getting tbere. Mini in 56.

Waiting to hear about my health at my annual physical.

  4. I just drove to Lidl and from the new paint I see on Flat Shoals it appears the DOT is going to install ANOTHER all-way stop. That will make the fourth one erected on Flat Shoals this year! The DOT is out of control.

Busy night of choring yesterday. I picked up a round bale of hay and caught up with my farmer friend. He had tips on how to get our grass going. I think we’ll have to buy a harrow to add to our extensive collection of farm implements.

Ceili has found a new, wonderful home! Next up on the block will be Mickey. I’m planning to ride Gauzy tonight for the first time. She better work out since I’m selling everyone else! It would be a helluva note not to have anything to ride.

The DOT is roundabout happy in our neck of the woods. I’m good with that except they have been putting them in low-priority places rather than fixing an undersized one that sees a TON of traffic. It was a “temporary” fix 6 years ago.

A late check in today. Still in Birmingham for another day and we are making a bit of progress. Finding default IP’s and wrong configs. Fun.

Watched the Phillies pound the cheaters last night until I couldn’t hold my eyes open. I don’t really have a dog in the fight, but not the cheaters.

Happy trails, Ceili. Be a good girl.
