Allowing myself to sleep in a bit today. I have a touch of a sore throat, hopefully just from ingesting pollen as I huffed and puffed along Silver Comet for three hours yesterday.

The M6 eclipsed 100k miles yesterday. Whoa…

I solved today’s Wordle in three attempts; my starter today was BLAME. Yesterday I had all but the first letter correct after two guesses, today I had all but the last letter correct after two guesses.

Wordle in 3 and had 4 out of 5 in the right spot in 2! MF! Starting word was SLATE

I thought about an actual road ride when I got home yesterday, but I need a minute to decompress from the drive, and that turned into more than an hour. I did put 45 hard minutes into the trainer while I watched another episode of “7 Days” on Netflix. This one was about the Kentucky Derby, so might make Debbie watch it.

Nothing much else going on around here.

  2. Just checked the tomato seedlings I transplanted. As of now I am ahead of schedule in killing them. Poop

Wordle in 3 starting with ALIKE. I nailed the three middle letters with my second guess.

Yesterday’s starting word was BEAST and set me up yo land BESET in 2. According to a NYT article I stumbled across only 1% of players got it in 2 yesterday, which makes BEAST all the more satisfying.

  4. Apple release iOS 16.4 yesterday. For the first time since owning this iPhone, a XS, I had to delete some stuff to install the new OS. It may be time for me to consider an upgrade to an iPhone 14?

The biggest thing that happened to me yesterday is that I went through the drive-through carwash and got the thick layer of pollen off my car. I thought the rain would wash it off, but all it did was bake it on more.

Baseball opening day! It’s a long season but there are always positive ramifications for teams who win the first game!

Wordle in 2 starting with PLEAS. Woot!

Waiting to go to my 3rd doctor’s appointment of the week. WTF

My knee has had a setback. PT starts next week. Hopefully that gets it straightened out. The chiro worked on it this morning.

Fig is getting the drill. Only got me up once overnight. George has decided that she’s okay. They are playing now and it’s very amusing to watch. She’s fearless and launches at his head. He’s getting some payback for how relentless he is on Ollie.

We’re enjoying a new TV show – Will Trent. It’s set in Atlanta and the characters are interesting. It’s a GBI/cops show.

  7. David says:

I read and loved all of Karin Slaughter’s books that have Will Trent as the main character. She lives in Atlanta wrote about local streets and venues in her books which was always fun.

Apparently bunch of people got their panties in a wad about a “mysterious white powder” on the Beltline that is purported to kill dogs. https://twitter.com/joidukestv/status/1641191552931225600?s=46&t=3vD8S5fe8ykIFd4GwdEvWw

Christ, the society that we live in. On, on!

craziness – huh????? People are just so stupid sometimes

    • It never ends. Monday night’s trail started at the Carter Center, I bet it’s from that.

I’m certain these are also the people who are demanding speed humps and stops signs.

    • Jenka says:

This happens every few years, someone will spot white powder and spark an online brouhaha. The first one I recall was on I-neighbors in the late aughts. Were you guys on I-neighbors back in the day, Paulie and David?

      • Never heard of I-neighbors. I was on EAV Buzz back in the day, though.

        • Jenka says:

I-neighbors was an email listserv that existed around the same time as the Buzz. The Ormewood I-neighbors was famous for in-fighting about the dumbest shit. There was a Buzz thread about the OP I-neighbors, actually! Heh.

      • David says:

This is the first I’ve ever heard of I-neighbors. I’m not much of a joiner with regard to email lists. I get way too much email on my own without voluntarily inviting more of it in.

Just got a call from Allan – he’s is helping Annette out – she’s having a knee something done over by Windy Hill Hospital (& Mark is at jury duty). He was sitting out in the car with it on Aux power listening to something. Now it is giving him an error about the battery needing service & won’t start? Its a Hybrid, only has maybe 30,000 miles, it shouldn’t have a bad battery already. He is so pissed. I told him to call his Dad, (come get Annette just in case) then Honda to see what they say, then AAA is need be. What a freakin mess.

  10. Continuing to eat WLF greens before it gets so warm that they bolt to flower and taste worse. 🙂

  11. Barb says:

just realized I never updated- After the car was off for a little while (& TJ & Mary were on the way with jumper cables) – Allan tried to start it, & it started.
    So – who knows………..

And Bob -there was no bridge (that close) to push it off……. thank God
