Friday, eh? Wish it were a day for lounging around, but no, I have to take care of the things which were neglected during my jaunt down to Florida. In addition to laundry, Life reorganization, and depending on the weather, major WLF (since it needs a lot of help) work begin today. Fortunately, my drinking buddies have taken my place in Florida, so I have no excuse for getting tons of shit done today.

Step 1: Waschsalon visit

While I didn’t manage to keep vegetarian most days away, I did try to limit my meat eating impact by eating fish, okay fried fish, but fish nonetheless. My vegetarian effort yesterday failed when I couldn’t find a meatless breakfast option at Burger King and gave in by eating a sausage biscuit; I was too hellbent on getting home to look for another restaurant option. My drive home was only spoiled by a noontime backup ten miles south of I-675, which forced me to abandon the interstate for a surface road detour to I-675.

One of the funnies from where my mother lives was seeing someone’s handwritten sign reading “Danger! Falling Mangos”. The sign was next to a huge mango tree full of mangos too high up to reach.

I was too overwhelmed after returning home to comment on it yesterday, but I have successfully used binder clips for cable management. The clips are cheap, and very useful.

I solved today’s Wordle in five attempts; my starter today was SPORE. Ugh, today’s answer is five words down my starting word list…

  1. Waschsalon is being renovated. While it’s open, it’s currently covered in construction dust, not the greatest for getting clothes clean…

Welcome back! Wordle in 4 starting with PATIO.

Steve, I have seen the error of my ways with regard to zip ties. Velcro ties are on the way for my other desk. It’s been forever since I’ve done any cable management and so I’m going to get with the times. More binder clips are on the way too. I unexpectedly used all 12 that I had procured.

Got home about 8pm, this time Buc-ees really was a convenient stop for bathroom, gas & food. Still bought no souvenirs.

Trying to get our shit put away, laundry done & now packing for camping with Wheelhopper. This seemed like a good idea months ago. At least we have the camper, so we don’t have to deal with that part of camping.

    Wordle in 2!

I saw sun a minute ago, but the weather still looks a bit sketchy. I’ll ride something with 2 wheels later.

Even though it’s “No Mow May” I mowed last night. We have plenty of un-mowed around the house.

    Giro mountain finish today…

    • Two? Well done!

I have embraced “No Mow May” wholeheartedly.

    • David says:

Kudos on Wordle in 2! Every month is “no mow” for me now that I finally had the last of my turf eradicated last year. A neighbor down the street asked this wee if he could borrow my mower. I said “I don’t have one any more!”

  5. Bob says:

Did you get a photo of that sign? We could use it next time Karnes crashes his bike 🙂

  6. Steve Brady says:

Someone just handed up little skewers of grilled meat to the guys going off the back. The rider handed them around!

  7. Made a delicious fake meat hamburger for brunch, using cheddar cheese on French sourdough bread, the latter two purchased from Whole Foods this morning. I didn’t get to eat breakfast since I was at the Waschsalon early, so I was hungry before lunchtime.

  8. Steve Brady says:

No 2 wheels anytime soon. It’s POURING!

Snow at the finish at the Giro. Epic.

  9. Debbie says:

Wordle in 3 starting with BEAUS. And still one-upped by my spousal unit – dangit.

Working today and it’s just as well with the rain. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

  10. Amazon has released its “Thursday” Night NFL schedule for next season. Thanks to Aaron Rodgers the Jets will be shown twice. I hope their season warrants this…

  11. Real rain went south of WLF, mostly just spit here.

  12. Barb says:

    Very drizzly driving to Clemson.
And we realized we forgot to pack up a bunch of firewood.
Damn it (rainy weather messes with the packing)

    • David says:

Oh no! That’s the worst given how much firewood you have at home. Blurring from one trip immediately into another is dicey.
