Today is the big day of BRAG, the century from Madison to Thomson. Unless I am feeling poorly at the turn off at mile seventy, in which case I will choose the “shorter” option. As I expect the same is for most riders, my body is sore. My knees are also displeased.

I solved today’s Wordle in six attempts; my starter today was PASTE.

Good luck! My knee twinged in sympathy of yours as I read this.

Wordle in 4 starting with APART. I thought I had a shot at getting it in 2 but that was not to be.

Wordle is still a pyzzle after 20 minutes.

Heading out in a while to see water, the Chesapeak, i believe. And something that swims for lunch.

I only woke myself up twice shivering last night. Otherwise, not bad. I didn’t think we owned a summer weight sleeping bag until Debbie told me- yesterday. Just a bit late. My second blanket was part of my pillow. Maybe tonight it will be used correctly.

    Ride safe.

Thank the sweet merciful sunflower that not only is it Friday, but also I am on vacation for TWO WEEKS after today! WOOT! We are going to Buenos Aires next week, I am excited!

As you know this year we joined a season ticket group for Atlanta United which means we have 5 games this season. Well, I checked the schedule and it turns out that we have tickets to the match with Inter Miami when Messi comes to town. Seats in our section are currently going for $1200 per ticket! I kinda want to see Messi but I think I’d rather have $6000.

I went to a wine tasting at Total Wine (Cumberland) last night – it was all about French wines. It was very interesting, they really did a good job. I guess if you join their rewards program & spend enough money – you get invited to do these sorts of things “for free”. I think its $20 if you aren’t a member. There is 1 in August or September that will be CA wines – who knows, I may see if Mark & Annette can invite me again.

  5. 75 miles in. I am not feeling perfectly, but at this point I will just suffer to the finish.

Whoa! Cobb County has issued an $8 million contract to extend the Silver Comet a couple miles toward Atlanta. It’s a little murky exactly where this extension will end (somewhere near, but outside of 285). Construction is supposed to be done in 2024. The PATH Foundation is overseeing it, which means it will get done a fuck of a lot faster than anything that Atlanta Beltline, Inc. is involved with.

    • Barb says:

I’ve been following this – it will be awesome when it hooks up with the Beltline – and its very good that PATH is spearheading it……….

Done with 150 miles to see water and back. Not nearly as impressive as a Paulie century! Nice work.

Stopped at a seafood place named The Blue Crab that had neither crab nor oysters! Fortunately a shrimp Poboy was available.

Jenka, what season is it in Buenos Aires?

    Off to find the showers.

    • Jenka says:

It’s the middle of winter! Which is awesome! Winter in BA is like 60-65 during the day, so it’s cool but not freezing. Perfecto!

The Blue Crab doesn’t have CRAB? False advertising.

  8. Barb says:

saw a picture of the BRAGgers with their bandanas – Paulie survived!!!
