Another three mile walk last night. I have a goal from here on to get an hour or more of exercise each day. On the final stretch back to the ITP Estate I walked down Long Cut’s street only to encounter him and Jackass loading up to go to the Moonlite hash. Jackass tried to talk me into it, but I politely declined.

Today is my semi-annual dental checkup. I’m hoping that all goes well today.

I’m trying to figure out is going on with the iPhone 15 Pro deals I am seeing from Verizon and AT&T. Verizon says they will give you a free iPhone 15 Pro with a trade in of any iPhone; that’s quite a significant offer. I will have to investigate how much I would have to pay each month for such a deal.

Happy Birthday to ITP-Reader Debbie, unless of course my calendar is lying to me. 🙂

I solved today’s Wordle in four attempts; my starter today was SWEAR.

    Wordle in 5, connections perfect.

As I’m off to the Games meeting tonight, we celebrated Debbie’s birthday with me cooking schnitzel for dinner. She had stopped at Aldi to pick up a few things and bought packages of spaetzel. Kinda like a ramen packet, throe the packet in water and let it boil. It wasn’t appetizing so we went with mashed potatoes. The schnitzel was as good as always!

She might have found a truck- on the way to Pensacola! How handy!!

And oddly, we watched NCIS last night, only because the TV was on CBS after we watched Jeopardy! And then got the news of David Mccalum passing. They had a slide up at the end marking his death. I remember him from “Man From UNCLE”. You kids wouldn’t remember that one.

  2. I’ve transplanted some mustard seedlings, given my past I am not sure how successful I will be, though so far my blue kale that I moved away from the threat of slugs and snails are doing fine.

Wordle in 3 starting with Pasty, perfect Connections. I remember watching The Man From Uncle as a youth. :). Good luck at the dentist Paulie!! Hopefully a clean bill of health. My day off. Was going to ride with Stan and crew this morning but the ride is cancelled. I will run all my errands today including paying property taxes and renewing my vehicle tag. May do some work in the yard or may go for a short ride in the afternoon. GUTS Tuesday. Tomorrow is the 3 mile run/walk at Scofflaw. 20% off beer tab. You should come Paulie…I guarantee you “they” won’t be there.

Wordle in, 5, starting with TRICK was certainly no treat today.

another crazy day in Iowa . Thought I was getting a little caught up so I could run out to the grocery & other errands to get done before people wake up. But- work is getting in the way of that. I’m hurry up & waiting on something “important” per the salesperson.

We went to Ticonderoga Club for Kevin’s birthday last night. You pay $10 per seat to reserve seats at the bar, with a limit of 2. But then they take that $20 off the bill. I’m okay with that if I know I’m going to get a seat at the bar, it’s so small. They have great food, their chef is super creative. I always get the Ipswich fried clams, it takes me back to my childhood.

Perfect on Connections. I did not know what mamba was!

    • Interesting business model, but I like it.

Life has funny connections, outside of Connections. Yesterday I saw a tile for a YouTube video called “The Rise and Fall of Busch Gardens”, an amusement park I visited occasionally as a kid because it was located in Tampa. When I saw the title I recalled the tv commercials for the park in the 1980s which referenced their roller coaster called “The Mamba”, but now that I look at Wikipedia it may have been called the “Python”.

Oooh, so you had an advantage! I remember Busch Gardens. For much of my childhood my grandparents lived outside Orlando, and we would drive down every other Christmas. We went to Disney, Epcot, and SeaWorld, but I don’t think we ever made it to Busch Gardens. It was probably too far to drive.

  7. Tree company doing some sort of work across the street. I wish I were in a position to ask them to dump the chipped and shredded wood on my front yard. I just fear that I have too many things in the way — overhead lines, underground water meter — in the way and can’t afford to have either get damaged.
