Does anyone remember what the elders called “rain”? Wee Little Farm could certainly use some rain, with none in the immediate forecast.

If today is going to follow this week’s trend (Monday was lazy, Tuesday I rode a century, yesterday I did nothing) it will be busy and full of productivity. To start my day I am out running a lot of errands I have been ignoring. Since it’s not going to rain tonight I will most likely be mounting my bicycle again and going for a significantly shorter ride. Today I will also attempt to curtail my overeating problem.

Next year I am going to finally do a little crop rotation. I harvested five cucumbers yesterday, four were fine, one had a worm hole. The four edible cucumbers came from a garden bed in which I’ve never grown cucumbers (and this is a volunteer plant), the wormy one came from my normal cucumber raised bed, the same one which has had other worm problems recently.

I solved today’s Wordle in five attempts; my starter today was DRAFT.

  1. Avoided the Connections traps today.

Wordle in 3 and connections fail. My brain is not wired that way.

I fought the good fight the other day with what I thought was a failed 3-way switch in the master closet. After wiring, and re-wiring, and re-wiring again I finally came to the conclusion that the fixture had failed. (it was already one tube down). With a replacement fixture bought on the way home, It was up and running in 10 minutes. Finally.

I fired the old shuttle bus company yesterday after another broken promise of an email follow up. I do have another on line for the Games. Hopefully, they will get it right.

I remember exercise, but I haven’t done any in a couple weeks… maybe today will be the day?

(for Bob and Paulie- resident geeks)

I keep up with our Wiresharks around the district and they released a new version yesterday. I downloaded it to my server (much faster when I’m in the office) and was going to spread it around to my devices today. When I signed on this morning, they had already sent out an update! The old code lasted less than 6 hours. That is a first.

LOL, somebody didn’t do their QA when it went out the door. I’m sure that was a fun meeting after the discovery 🙂

Wordle in 4 starting with WATER. No mistakes in Connections. Going to Menopause The Musical tonight at the Strand. I like the Marietta Square, I just hate the parking situation. Not much to contribute this morning. Just another day in Sal-tober.

    • Barb says:

I hear its an excellent musical – should be fun.

Connections was not my friend today.
      Wordle in 4
Mini – over 1 minute, less than 2, thought I was going to do really well, but then…. nope.

    • Jenka says:

That sounds like something I would love! But I’m not driving out to Marietta to see it. 🙂

Wordle in 3, fuck that shit on Connections. Presentation is sent.

I’ve been working on revamping an invoicing spreadsheet that I wrote 20 years ago for a client. It’s amazing to see such mileage out of a tool like that. There’s a few of them out there. I am very grateful that Excel has evolved. Accommodating everything they need today would have been a nightmare accommodating everything they need now in an older version of Excel.

Paulie – messing with me today titling this blog 10/03

I worked too much yesterday – decided we didn’t feel like cooking dinner -so we headed to El Ranchero with the in-laws.

Tonight we will have some friends over & eat out on the deck – its finally the right temperature to enjoy that.

Posted a few things on the local Buy Nothing FB page, people have claimed them – so out on the front porch they go. I like getting rid of things that way -its nice when someone else wants to take our giveaways.

Still have a leather saddle bag for the motorcycle – Steve – I can send you pictures – not sure if it would work with your scooter.

Wordle in 4, connections fail 🙁
I’m actually riding my bike after work, it has been a few weeks since I have been able to ramble. I need my Thursday night sessions.
Busy weekend ahead, tennis match Saturday morning and Atlanta United that night. Sunday may be repainting my dining room, Laura has been asking for that for a few years, finally getting around to it 🙂

    • Barb says:

we need to repaint our bedroom, the dark blue walls are really starting to look worn. I just need to get myself fired up to do it. I understand the lack of motivation to do it.

      • Bob says:

It’s worse than just a re-paint, we have this stupid crackle paint that was popular in the 90’s. It needs to be sanded down so we can start over. It’s going to be a mess and a ton of work.

    • Speaking of Atlanta United, last night’s loss was not good. With only two more games, both against teams above them in the table, three points last night would have been advantageous.

Super busy work day today, which keeps me on my feet.

We hired a new nanny! She starts next week and will take over driving Finn the 23 miles each way to school. Thank the sweet merciful sunflower.

  9. Jenka says:

Connections today was SO STUPID. Like, not worth the time.

  10. Back from errands — Target, haircut, Lowe’s, QT, and Lidl. Now baking pizza, loaded with peppers from WLF, for lunch. Yum!
