I have started binge watching am obsessed with The Traitors, but the UK version instead of the US version since it was the original. I’m glad I’m watching this on commercial-free Peacock, at least if number of times the show fades to black is an indication of how many commercial breaks are in the show. From an outsider viewer’s perspective these players are absolute idiots.

Yesterday I signed the death warrant for a small ceramic heater which once served me well. Last year, as in early 2023, its fan started acting up and eventually ceasing. Yesterday I took it apart to see if I could get the fan working again, assuming it was clogged by dust and hair, but alas the construction of the fan was not intended to have repairs made. I have clipped the power cord and put it into the growing pile of “Things Destined for CHaRM”. I have an appointment for Thursday morning, unless I cancel due to inclement weather.

For the first time in a while I went out for a good walk yesterday, covering four miles. Unfortunately my feet are bothering me again. On my walk I passed through Red’s Farm and saw the remnants of what I assumed was Busted Cherry’s Christmas Tree Burning Hash. I thought I saw him driving a load of Christmas trees into the farm a couple of Saturdays ago.

At the Waschsalon this morning, doing a few weeks’ worth of dirty laundry.

Wordle: five, my starter was GRASP (and luckily to get it at all because I played very poorly)
Connections: perfect, Yellow > Green > Blue > Purple

  1. As I also spent an inordinate amount of time reading “The Elephant in the Room” there is a poetic justice that I have allowed my waistline to swell back to where my “fat pants” are uncomfortable. #depressed

My embarrassment and depression are the reasons I no longer weigh myself and report my weight.

Wordle in 3 and coulda been 2! Connections perfect.

A busy day “in the office” yesterday and in the actual office today.

Last nights workout was a new one to me, warm up then increasing blocks of power at SLOW RPM’s (55). For any of us used to riding, 55 rpm is terribly slow and even difficult to maintain. I’m glad it was only a half hour.

Speaking of weight- when I started dry January and 30 for 30, Debbie said she expected me to lose weight. HA! I’m simply maintaining… sad. Guess I am getting fit (er).

Wordle in 4 starting with Image. 2 mistakes in Connections: green, yellow, purple, blue. Not much to report today. A friend is coming over this morning to help me replace my air intake hose. Going over to Barb’s to load up on wood for my week-end trip to Mt. Sano State Park and to pick up my Wheelhopper Hoodie.

    • Mt Sano? Must be time for Mountain Mist! Not that you need my luck, but good luck. If you see Fritz please tell him that I say “Hello”.

      • Sally says:

Oh I’ll see him! We are the only 2 that has gotten every Slate Finisher award since they started doing them. 🙂 Looks like its going to be a wet sloppy mess. I just need to stay upright.

I’m hunkered down, will resurface at some point.

  5. Jenka says:

What a beautiful day out! It was soooo hard to get out of bed this morning.

Busy days yesterday and today. I got home last night and put on my pajamas and ordered salads for dinner.

  6. Home from Waschsalon and a quick pop into Kroger. Yes, I know I said that I wasn’t going to go into a grocery store this month, but I had to do so.

Also, $1/18 eggs are now $1.50/18, and I am happy to report that the two I ate as hard boiled eggs this morning were delicious.

Tuning into S01E01 of The Traitors US. Unfortunately all of the contestants are people from previous reality tv show – this is such a dealbreaker for me.

    • Jenka says:

I had never heard of The Traitors. After looking it up I don’t think it’s for me. I have a hard time with reality competition shows, the only one I really like is The Amazing Race.

  7. Barb says:

    busy morning.
I think I’m the only person who hasn’t watched the GBBO.
I’ve never been a fan of cooking/baking shows – so I never even tried watching this one.

Watched American Nightmare on Netflix – if you like a documentary about a kidnapping that the police refused to investigate – its a great show.

Just had lunch at Waffle House with Kristina & Sal – it just sounded good today

I’ll play games a little later

    Wordle in 3 using TRACE
Connections fail, I got green and yellow then took too many guesses.

Last weeks freeze continues to deplete the HOA budget. Our money pit of a clubhouse had the HVAC system replaced, fire sprinkler system burst, and now the water fountain lines exploded. I’m really tired of having to run down to the clubhouse for emergencies.

On the plus side, I joined Planet Fitness since I have no discipline to exercise at home. I have been a few times and am actually enjoying running on the treadmill. I thought my running days were over but so far I am pain free. I do need to go see Sally for some new shoes though.

    • Sorry about your HOA bullshit.

Running?!?! *mind blown* Hope it continues to go well for you.

      • Bob says:

I know, I quit running many years ago because it caused so much pain. I’m kind of excited at the possibility of getting back to it.

    • Barb says:

Bob – can you get me to actually go to the Y more often than I do?
We pay for it & everything……….
I need to get it to be a routine – but – it isn’t.

      • Bob says:

Finding a routine is the hardest part. The gym being 2 miles away helps a lot. I need to find a 45 minute cardio/weightlifting plan I can follow so I can do it on my lunch break. I can do longer cardio only sessions in the evenings when I can’t/don’t want to get out on the bike.

  9. Just awoke from an impromptu nap! Damn, that was much needed though it has put me behind schedule today.

  10. Barb says:

Allan had a new to him fire dept “emergency” Someone brought an injured hawk to the firehouse for help.
after some phone calls – they took it to the Chattahoochee Nature Center

  11. Poked around WLF for a bit, doing nothing that will result in food for me. Now trying to convince myself to put time in on the trainer, shower, and then treat myself to a homemade dinner.

  12. Steve says:

and spoken in Jack Nicholson’s voice

  13. Jenka says:

Wordle in 3 using STEAL, really should’ve been 2.

I am still in the middle of Connections. I got green and yellow and then I got distracted.

  14. Sally says:

I just thought I would pop in to see if anything new was added. You folks continue way into the afternoon! Good for you BOB. I hope you can stick with a routine…maybe do a run or two with Laura. I am heading out now to run at Kennesaw Mtn. Successfully replaced my air intake hose. Had lunch with Kristina and Barb and loaded my car with firewood. Wheelhopper hoodies look nice.
