What you probably don’t know about me is that I love old signs. On Sunday while driving out for the Silver Comet Easter ride I saw a sign I’d never seen before — Arrowhead Campsites, which apparently used to be across I-20 from Six Flags Over Georgia. Even though it’s huge, I can only assume that I’ve never previously noticed this sign because there seems to be a fallen tree in front of it which now allows one to see it while traveling west.
Wordle: three, my starter was CLAIM
Wordle in 5.
A quiet evening. We finally made it to the end of “Elementary” and are now adrift, looking for a daily watchable series. That was so well done, it will be hard to compete with.
I thought about going for a run last night, but stayed in my recliner until the feeling passed.
Somehow the house programmable thermostat had the house at 78 when we went to bed. Needless to say, I slept like crap and feel it this morning.

we enjoyed Elementary.
We have been watching Watson – its an interesting doctor show – with the references to Sherlock Holmes, etc.
Hmm, maybe I will have to check Elementary out.
These days you almost have to identify the streaming service along with the show title.
Hulu.
There are 7 seasons, so plenty of territory. We really enjoyed them.
Hulu? Hey, I pay for that one! 🙂
Watson – on network TV (CBS) so Paramount +
since we still have cable or whatever its called these days – we just DVR it.
Network TV? I’ve heard of that… 🙂
In the eyelid world, I’m hoping the phrase “it has to get much worse before it gets better” is applicable, since last week it has gotten much worse. I considered calling the eye doctor to see if I could move my appointment to this week; I may do this today.
It has also changed today’s schedule. Initially I was going to drive toward Conyers for breakfast, Harbor Freight, Tractor Supply, and Lowe’s, but due to my hideous eyelid I’m staying in today.
Making the best of a bad situation, doing all indoor choring today.
Watched my various friends run the Boston marathon yesterday via the BAA app. My childhood friend Bill finished in 2:54!
Went to Ocean wave for sushi as usual, then home to watch the Braves win.
The ATL Business Chronicle is reporting that starting May 1 parking prices at the airport are going to go up dramatically. That surprises me considering they are building that HUGE new parking garage. I stopped parking at the airport years ago and this means I will continue to use Lyft.
gotta pay for that deck, I guess? We took MARTA from West End – cost $5.
I haven’t parked at the airport in years & years.
You have a unique parking advantage.
we do, and we do have family & friends that will drive us if need be – that can be super helpful too
We’ve used the shuttle long term parking for years and only recently has it not been worth the price. There used to be busses waiting to take you back to the lot on return, but the last few times they have been pretty scarce. Maybe we hit them on a bad night.
Uber/Lyft aren’t really options for us, living in BFE as we do.
Yeah, given the length of time I travel, since I fly so infrequently, I stopped parking at the airport years ago. The price of Lyft, even these days, is less than paying to park, and I get to leave my car in the carport, giving the appearance that I am at home.
Especially since, if you do park at the airport, you have to pad your arrival time by at least an extra half hour to account for 1. driving around looking for a spot; and 2. walking or taking the shuttle from wherever far distance you managed to find a spot.
The international spots are going to be $100 PER DAY.
what the hell – $100/day ???
Might be one of the few who welcomes rain. I’m ready, hopefully it passed over, and falls upon, WLF.
Harrumph, rain seems to be staying north of WLF.
CoA gave me an opportunity to do a quick chore today. I heard noise coming from the street and apparently the City is cleaning storm grates by opening nearby fire hydrants. After they left I took the opportunity to shovel the remaining crap from my curbside.
