I’m off to the periodontist this morning – hopefully just a cleaning, so it won’t be a huge amount of money. Let’s hope.

We planted some tomatoes, basil & a couple peppers yesterday.
I might get a packet of bush green bean seeds today, just to see if I can get my money’s worth out of it. šŸ˜‰

    Wordle in 5!

Traffic both directions yesterday was F’d. Waze had me get off at South Fulton Parkway, then wanted me to turn around and go back to 85??? I took another option and missed the holdup.

We had a meeting with our officer explaining RTO. 4 days a week starting after Labor Day. If you work 4 10 hour days, they will all be in the office. If you are 100% remote, you can continue. I wrote in my “contract” that I would continue at 2 days a week in the office, so that’s what I expect. Even if they push back, I could do it for a month.

45 minutes hard on the trainer.

Good morning and happy Thursday! I am going to lose two vacation days at my next accrual on April 30, so I took yesterday off and Kevin and I went to the noon Braves game. It was a beautiful day, mid-70s, perfect for baseball. What a great day!

Now I’m back in the office and it feels like Monday.

    • Steve says:

2 Mondays in a week has to suck.

    • Noon game sounds fun, except for my never going back to The Battery, well except for dental trips.

      • Jenka says:

It was the perfect day, very restorative! And there are always fewer people at a weekday game, which is nice.

      • Barb says:

Paulie – have you ever even been to the Battery?
I was just at my Periodontist this morning, and we were talking about braves games, and how it affects her leaving work. This office is at the Galleria, so its not too bad, but I know the people at Gavric “love” day games

Jenka – weather wasn’t too bad for the game – great day off!

        • Yep! Been to a Braves game, and to the Roxy.

          • Barb says:

it isn’t that bad – in fact – I find parking there easier than when the stadium was downtown – we never had a good experience.
But – I don’t really go to baseball games, so I don’t deal with that parking mess.
We’ve gone to restaurants there (& the Roxy once)

Now parking decks always suck, but we’ve learned to not leave with the masses, either leave early or spend time after to not sit & wait………

          • It’s just not for me, I didn’t enjoy going there.

          • Jenka says:

Barb, when you go to the Battery you must park in the Red deck, yes? Because all the other Braves parking is well over a mile away. I much preferred parking at The Ted, I had a secret lot two blocks away that never filled up.

          • Barb says:

We park in RED sometimes, but I like the Purple deck. Most don’t know about it – it seems like it’s more for residents -but I’ve never had an issue there.

  4. Back from a big day of laundry (a lot of cycling kits! Woot!), followed by stops at Lidl and Publix. All but two items purchased at Publix were BOGO. The two non-BOGO items were sharp cheddar and pimentos in a jar; doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out what’s in my near future. šŸ™‚

  5. Barb says:

Sally is bringing me some green bean seeds – so, I will be planting some green beans

  6. Steve says:

Speaking of parking… we have tickets next Wednesday to see Debbie’s boyfriend, Chris Issac at the Roxy in Butthead. Any recommendations for parking?

    • The Roxy is now at The Battery. Or, is the show at Buckhead Theater, the old location for The Roxy?

      • Nevermind, I looked it up and it’s at Buckhead Theater. I’ve not been there in many years, so I’m sure all has changed since then.

There is a ā€œPlan Your Visitā€ page which mentions parking on their website: https://www.thebuckheadtheatre.com/visit

        • Steve says:

Yeah, that’s still the Roxy to me. And considering I used to be a regular just around the corner at Churchill Arms, it’s REALLY been a long time for me. Fado is a dinner option, and I was looking at the Iberian Pig which is in the same block as the theater. If a certain fireman was still working Buckhead, I’ll pay him a visit.

          • Barb says:

and – if he was still working there, you could park behind the firehouse for free.
I think Churchill Arms is still around.
There’s some good restaurants in the vicinity – Iberian Pig sounds way better than Fado – but I’m sure there’s plenty of other options too.

          • Barb says:

so I had to google Churchill Arms – the hours are 8pm – 3am – except Saturdays – they are there all day.
Maybe we ought to plan a Saturday meet up there.

          • Jenka says:

I go to the Iberian Pig in Decatur all the time — it’s divine.

      • Barb says:

I was thinking the same thing Paulie – Buckhead Theatre. I’m sure there is plenty of not cheap parking in Buckhead…..

  7. The face of WLF continues to change as I continue to yank underperforming tomato plants and replace them with others. Perhaps I should start a new round? Also, the Mammoth JalapeƱo plant I purchased from Lowe’s looked awful, so it came out too; pity, the Mammoth JalapeƱo plants I purchased at Lowe’s the past two years were incredible.

Squash/Zucchini seedlings are germinating fine. Maybe they will go into the ground before they get too big and I’ll have some squash/zucchini before BRAG and the vine borers arrive?
