Rain, rain, go away. Okay, I know it will soon.

I didn’t get a whole lot accomplished yesterday, staying indoors for the majority of the day. I watched a lot of videos (no football game since I don’t have ESPN), read some of the pawpaw book, discovered there are pawpaw festivals including the largest in Ohio which took place last weekend, and that Ohio festival even put out a podcast. I am listening to an episode of that podcast currently, learning more about the pawpaw.

The biggest thing to happen yesterday was having Bonnie tell me that the series “Horace and Pete” put out six/seven years ago by Louis CK is available for streaming on Hulu. I’d bet dollars to donuts (which isn’t as one-sided as it was when that phrase was coined) that I wrote about this dark comedy in this blog when I watched it back then. Oh, and I’m okay with supporting Louis CK, and if you are not that’s okay with me too.

I considered going to the old Waschsalon this morning, but my poor night of sleep squashed that idea. I didn’t get out of bed until 7am, and it’s now 7:30 as I write this blog post. Laundry will have to be done tomorrow morning instead because I want to have all clothes washed before packing for Hartwell.

According to the weather app I use we (East Atlanta) are supposed to get a little more rain in the next hour, but that could be all we get for today. My plan for today is to go out to WLF and do some choring until around lunch time. Today’s lunch will be some of the leftover “eggplant lasagna” that I baked last night, and the run some off-the-property chores after taking a good shower.

Hope you week has started off well.

Tuesday Tale of the Tape: 185.2 pounds (-0.8 from last week’s weigh-in); at least that’s the direction in which I am hoping to head again.

A pretty quiet day all around yesterday. A half hour on the trainer, watching it rain. A trip to the grocery store for the barest of essentials- almost out of bread and bananas.

Tonight’s Games meeting will be led by… ME! As the prez is out west on vacation, the duty falls to me and I’ve already told folks this will be a short meeting!

I’m hoping the rain stops and the grass dries out so I can get it cut. As it stands now, I may need to bush hog it!

Does the waschalon get really busy? Why can’t you go at 0800am?

Allan headed back to HD already, One gutter piece 2as wrong. I guess that’s the first part of the projects today, then the fun of trying to dig up the fence posts to install the new gate.

Hash last night was good, ending at Hooters of all places.
We skipped trail & walked over to the Battery, had a beer there (you can wander with your beer), then headed bs k as it started to drizzle.
Real trail was good we were told.

Chores today too. The husband comes home at noon. My cousin is coming to town next week so today I need to write up a list of things for him to do and see in Atlanta (and Savannah).

I watched E1 of Horace and Pete last night, it was interesting. I know Paulie told me about it before but I was still a little surprised at the filming style / acting (it’s like a play). Perhaps I can squeeze in E2 as I do my chores. 😁

I liked Horace and Pete back in the day. I’d watch Steve Buscemi in practically anything.

    • I liked it too, even though it’s not haha funny. You all probably know that I love plays, and this movies an tv shows that are shot like plays. FFS, my favorite movie of all time is “Glengarry Glen Ross”, which is an adaptation of a David Mamet play.

I have decided that I will do a rewatch. I have the video files I bought from Louis CK’s website, but it’s easier to watch on Hulu.

  5. In from some morning choring. Have showered and am awaiting my lunch to reheat.

Trying to motivate myself to do the two out-of-house chores that I want to achieve today. I could put them off until tomorrow, but probably shouldn’t.

I feel like I hallucinated the sun being out earlier because now it’s raining yet again. ☂︎

    • Barb says:

Sun came out for a few minutes up here too. Back to clouds, but no rain. (Yet)
Gutter almost fixed, new back gate coming along.

  7. Home from adulting. Trips to Aldi and Publix to buy some supplies for Hartwell, though I realize now I didn’t get everything, and a banking chore also complete.

  8. I have been ignoring the Rosemary that started off my growing life last year and the three plants were looking great. However, when I looked at them today they were brown and dying! 😢 I’ve placed two into a tray of water and fertilizer, hopefully they will come back.
