No Time For Blogging

Last night’s flight was delayed for forty minutes, and fought headwinds for nearly five-and-a-half hours. Needless to say we were tired by the time we got to the hotel. However, by gaining three hours we managed to sit at the hotel bar until 12am local (that’d be 3am using my natural time zone) so it was no surprise that I slept so well and late. And wouldn’t you know that we’d run into a trio of guys talking college football, including one UGA graduate from Atlanta. Five-and-a-half hours and I still can’t get away from UGA. “Ugh”, not “Uga”.

Unrelated: The iron in my hotel room stinks.

So stare at today’s photo and entertain yourselves as you think of me sitting in meetings all day. Also, pray for me as I attempt to put on a pair of pants which has not seen action during the past few months during which I’ve gone on a bit of a middle-section growth spurt.

Did someone use the iron to make grill cheese? Or maybe a crayon and wax paper art project. Speaking of art projects, I made salt dough ornaments the other night and started painting them last night. However, after I caught Nibbles eating one (already painted) I’m thinking putting them on the tree may be a big mistake.

I just noticed the last of your December goals…now I’m really curious. I’ve been pretty bad about setting ANY goals lately. I think I’m suffering for it. I finally made it back to the gym today…I’ve been away far too much the last two weeks, but I was weak from eating fruit and soup for the last three days.

  2. Steve says:

Martha, the fact that you wen to the gym at all speaks volumes about your toughness- much tougher than me!!

I’m starting a rumor that we need to go to the Dec 26 Thrashers/Tampa Bay at 7PM… anyone interested??

Huh, my last comment got lost. 🙁

I’m now at IHOP, going to eat fruit and yogurt believe it or not.

Thrashers sounds like fun, I’ll check my schedule.

  4. Barb says:

Martha – hang them higher – Nibbles isn’t that tall.

Steve – we are hoping to go mtn biking that Sunday afternoon 12/26 (with Allan’s brother Kevin & Katrina), but if the weather doesn’t cooperate we would be interested. Any deals on tickets out there? I know the game is at 7pm, but if we leave the kids all day with the grandparents, not sure they would want to be that on the go. This whole having relatives in town for the holiday is messing with me, I’m not used to having to arrange our schedule around so many people.

  5. Martha says:

I think it might be best just to leave them off, too many tragic (yet very funny) senarios…plus I figure if Nibbles will eat them, Logan can as well and he’s big enough to do some damage.

“I’m not used to having to arrange our schedule around so many people”…is why I’m staying here, by myself this holiday. It will be kind of nice.

Wish I had some fruit and yogurt, this protein drink is really gross.

  6. Steve says:

I haven’t found any deals yet, but I’m not sure where to look either. There seem to be plenty of cheap seats, however. Section 320 C&D at $25 a seat

  7. Barb says:

Steve- let me talk to Allan…….. I’m a big MAYBE……

Martha – I’ve even been crazy enough to invite my parents down too – figured it will be crazy anyway, why not have them here. But – they don’t want to deal with the drive, since the weather has been bad recently, they figure it will be bad in a week & a half. At least I get the brownie points for the invite.

I’m off to the eye doctor- dentist didn’t go as well yesterday as I’d hoped (seeing a periodontist next week – damn gums), let’s hope the eye doc just says all is fine. (He’s a good looking guy too, so doesn’t bother me to go see him)

  8. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Waiting for pizza lunch to arrive. Damn, I am hungry.

  9. Barb says:

pizza – that always sounds good to me

  10. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

    It was delicious.
