2am? Could It Really Be 2am?

That’s the question I asked myself after wrapping up watching a recorded Big Brother 7 and two recordered World Series of Poker episodes when I returned home from the Braves game (I pulled a Cobb County move and left after the 7th inning).

Needless to say, all plans to wake early for a run before getting my shit together today were cancelled immediately.

Barry, Oh Barry
Two homers? That was an unexpected turn of events. My seat was really good, section 101 row 23… until I saw my friends Mike and Steve show up to the game and walk down to section 103 row 7. I joined them for an inning or two until the people whose seat I was occupying arrived. Unfortunately there will be no photos of the event because when I got out of my car I still was under the impression that it was going to downpour. Of course there was so much humidity in the air that by the third inning my shirt looked like it had.

Here’s my consumer tip of the day. I decided to treat myself to one of those Skip & Pete pork sandwiches last night. It was lousy. For $7.25 I got a decent portion of dry, not very warm pork, served on a bun which was terrible. I guess that’s what I get for not getting a hotdog at the ballpark.

Atlanta To Gainesville Through Where?
Yesterday I tried getting a flight to Gainesville, FL booked for a recruiting trip. Our travel department informed me that direct flights were $800+ and that I could instead take a flight to Charlotte and then down to Gainesville. I told them that itinerary was ludicrous and that I’d rather drive. Wanna guess who’ll be tooling down I-75 in a few weeks?

Who am I kidding these are not random selections, hence the change in header.

Airport Security

I’m not sure that this structure helps aiport security, but Hartsfield Airport must believe so.

And now for some ideas stolen from LiveJournal…
Current Mood – uncertain
Current Music – listening to Album 88 (WRAS)
Website Of The Day – Fellow East Atlanta ODB has a cool photoblog called Aspherical. I suggest you check it out on occasion.
Exercise (b)Log – none

Cheers,

I always recommend Skip and Pete’s to people going to the ballgame that don’t want the standard nitrate pop or raw dough mini pizza disc. Sorry you had a bad one, I’ve been lucky thus far with mine not being dry and plan on wolfing one down this evening. The 18 inch southwest dog with nacho cheese sauce, chili, and jalapenos makes for a boring night with the little lady. That cheating SOB better not hit a dinger tonight or I’m charging the field!!!

After reading the heading, I was hoping the flight went somewhere super ridiculous – like Las Vegas. I have no idea how far exactly Gainesville is, but won’t it cost your company more in milage than the $800 direct flight? I think it will be pretty close. Thanks for the link love.

Have a great time in Colorado!!!
