Cowabunga

One of the Twitterers is headed to Australia for a few weeks; that’s the only excuse we needed to meet up at the Graveyard Tavern. I am paying for it today. I think I now understand why Rogue calls that beer “Dead Guy.”

I’m feeling a bit rundown today so I will be making this short. Feel free to talk amongst yourselves.

I’ll be shooting today so I should have new material.

Lights, Camera, Action!
Tonight I will be attending a studio lighting workshop. I am really looking forward to it because it should kick me in the ass hard enough to get me shooting again.

Top Chef : Whoops, I Did It Again
I missed it. I miss having a DVR. I wonder if it’s available online?

Huh, Bravo needs to learn a thing or two about spoilers. Within five seconds I found out who was booted and who won last night. I didn’t want to know, I was looking to see if they show the episodes online.

That picture is creepy- nice work with the B/W. Color would have ruined it.

Nice to see Martha and JP- oops.. sorry- Tom at Georges last night. Now if we could only get Paulie to show up.

  2. Can’t you runners read a thermometer?

I obviously have no problem sitting in a bar drinking. And for those keeping score at home : there’s a new #1 on my “Atlanta’s Prettiest Waitresses” list. I felt like such a dirty old man looking at her last night however.

  3. Steve says:

I was sweating by the time I got back to Georges.. and didn’t run that far. Just didn’t feel that great, either- of course it could have been the seriously blistering pace Boner set- at least it seemed blistering to me.

it is supposed to be in the 50s today, and the 60s tomorrow, I’m thinking I need to call in sick tomorrow, but unfortunately, we already have 2 others out, so I won’t. (I really hate being a conscientious employee).

  5. What, are you saying that I am not conscientious? ๐Ÿ™‚

I am going to head to Oakland Cemetery this afternoon to shoot.

  6. Martha says:

It wasn’t cold last night, it was twice as warm as it was yesterday morning for the first run of the day. Heck, I even wore my running skit, it was down right balmy.

FYI Steve, Tom is not as slow as he says he is, I mean he might be slow compared to what he use to run, I was expecting a leisurely jog, that is not what I got. Tom is out of town the next two weeks so maybe I’ll try to run with you big boys next week.

Paulie, you are a dirty old man… ๐Ÿ˜‰

  7. Martha: I already knew that you couldn’t read a thermometer. ๐Ÿ˜›

The Best/Worst part about getting old is that the girls I look at stay the same age. Yes, I am a dirty old man who will continue to be for the remainder of his breathing days. ๐Ÿ™‚

  8. Martha says:

re: the thermometer – ignorance is bliss

Oh and Paulie, by not showing up at George’s you missed another ‘hash history’ lesson from PE, I swear I feel like a kid sitting at grandpa’s knee while he tells tales of the war.

  9. Barb says:

did you say you were calling in sick tomorrow? did I miss that somewhere? I need to learn how to call in sick, but it is such hell to come back after others have messed up my work, it is barely worth it.

  10. I had no intention of calling in today. I got home late last night (1:00am) and woke up late this morning (8:30am) with a headache.

The fact that the weather is going to be nice today is a bonus.

  11. Barb says:

I guess I missed that you called in today. Ooops.

  12. Barb, the only mention was in my status update.

  13. Steve says:

Martha- I seem to recall when Tom was in shape, he didn’t have much problem hanging with the A group. You’re always welcome to join us… I may not be able to keep up with you, the way I’ve been running lately.

  14. Martha says:

I’m pretty sure, over a short distance, he would beat me, but I’ve got him on long runs.

I’ve got Nancy checking on the dogs Wednesday afternoons, now that there is no hurry for me to get home, I will be out to George’s more often and I’ll take you up on your offer.
