You’d Think I’d Have Enough Of This Area

Right now I am in Clemson, South Carolina working a college career fair. And, I got to wake up in my bed and drive up here in the storms this morning — talk about a shitty commute.

Compromised Position
Well, this is one way of slowing down my purchases…

The other night I received a call from my credit card company’s fraud department. It seems that some nefarious people have compromised my credit card number and used it to purchase stuff aw Wal*Mart. Wal*Mart? Puuuuuuhleeeeeease. Well, at least I could tell the company that I was 100% certain that I did not make that purchase.

The downside of all this is that I’ll now have to memorize another credit card number and security code. Oh, that and I’ll have to update credit card numbers for all of the companies who charged to that older number automatically.

Fucking thieves! I wish they would leave me the hell alone…

ITP Flickr Pic
To image the photo that I could have shot and posted today just go out and get a glass of water and pour it in front of your face. Think of it as “interactive art.”

Oh Noes Hell’s Kitchen?!?
WTF, Fox?

Last night I visited ITP-Reader Betsy for a night of Hell’s Kitchen watching, except that Hell’s Kitchen was preempted by a two-hour finale of Fat People Making Out, or whatever the name of that show is.

Oh well, we made the best of a bad situation by consuming some red wine and pizza that I brought over while we attempted to convince Reese that she should be relishing the fenced-in back yard and using it again. Apparently Reese is somewhat spooked by the yard and refuses to go out now. Whadda prima-doona.

you are the 3rd person I have heard about that their credit card had been compromised……guess, I should check mine out.

Got my September issue of Outside Magazine yesterday and the main topic of this month: 139 ways to take better pictures (and the world’s greatest images for inspiration).

    Have fun in Clemson.

Since, in my option, there is nothing on Tuesday nights my plan was to watch the Dr Who DVD I got from Netflix. Jerry was not nearly as impressed as I was…I think he fell asleep half way through. I reminded him that it was only an hour, way shorter than any football game.

I’m working from home today, I think I brought back something from the Lake, sore throat and cough…trying not to spread it around. That’s what I get from over- achieving with the morning swims.

AmEx called me a while back & said someone had bought some very expensive Luftansa plane tickets, and (since the tickets weren’t mine) they were cancelling that CC number, and sending me over night a new one. It wasn’t as bad as I thought switching the number on the accounts that bill directly. Only missed one, my wine club from Stryker Winery out in Sonoma. I almost thought I should just leave it & cancel the club, but I do like their wines, and it is nice to have some “good” wine in the house all the time for those special (or not special) occasions.

Went to trivia last night in Dunwoody (or maybe Sandy Springs – Loco’s on Roswell Rd between Abernathy & Northridge) – it was a different format & scoring – and they posted the questions on some of the TVs. Last question was double or nothing on your ENTIRE score, and we missed it.

Here’s the question – let’s see if any of you know it
(insert picture of an older gentleman) – Who am I, I’m a friend of Freddy’s.

Not sure what it is but I love Clemson. Maybe because there is a lake right there and great mtn biking is nearby.

  5. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Friend of Freddy? Old man? Was it Jack Anderson of Chico & the Man”?

  6. Barb says:

since no one else is playing…… answer was Wes Craven.

I told Allan the question on my drive home (he was at the firehouse) and he didn’t even pause & guessed it right. I hate him sometimes. We would have won the whole thing if we could have guessed that.

    Oh, *that* Freddy! 🙂
