85%

85% is where I calculate that I am at today. I’m alive (although still in pain). Yesterday can be summarized with two words:

  1. sick
  2. bed

To be honest, I have nothing else to say today. Hope to have things about which to discuss tomorrow.

Stats & Goals
Daily
Current Mood – still not great, but showered and out of the house
Current Music – silence
Website Of The Day – I know that today’s blog is lacking so go entertain yourself with amusing infographics at Flip Flop Fly Ball.
Mode Of Transportation To Work – my car
Exercise (b)Log – nothing
Morning Weigh-In – didn’t check

Monthly
Foot Mileage – 5 miles, Wheel Mileage – 171 miles
Consecutive Days Of Bed-Making (Longest Streak) – 0 (10)
Vegetarian Days – 3, Carnivorous Days – 26
Marta Rides – 0

September Goals
– Not get fired from my job
– Take at least one photo every day
– Restart work on house, actually making progress this time (note: not successful during August)

2009 Goals
– Reduce my weight to 190 pounds (today’s weight was 199.5 pounds)
– Completely read the book 1001 Paintings You Must See Before You Die
РEarn at least $150 through photography sales in order to cover the cost for the renewal of the Jalape̱o Beach SmugMug account I opened the other day.
– Save $500 for the sole purpose of donating to charitable organizations of my choice
– Attend at least one professional photography workshop

The Unmeasurable
– Continue backing up all data, including the off-site storage
– Become a proficient programmer in Objective-C (iPhone development) and Ruby on Rails (Black Sheep web page concept)
– Do not create a solution for something which is not a problem

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

Sorry you are still feeling crappy.

I finally watched Amazing Race last night – I think I’m going to like the couple with the blond guy with the spiky hair that spells his name funky – Cheyne. Wasabi bombs are something I never want to eat.

  2. Thanks Barb. I’m hoping to be back to 100% by Wed/Thur. It sucks not to be able to ride in this fantastic riding weather though.

I’m not sure that I am going to like them — too cheesy for me. I know that I am not going to like the bulky lawyer and his wife/girlfriend.

We may go for a quick spin tonight over to Kennesaw mtn (not sure if I want to climb it or not), but Allan has the day off, so he may go ride the mtn bike. He just got both bikes fixed (fork was messed up on the Blur, rear wheel was messed up on the 29er), and may want to test them out.

I’m pretty sure Martha, Michelle & I will meet at SCT tomorrow after work, if you (or anyone else) wants to join us.

I have to now wonder if I didn’t have H1N1 as well. Generally no fever means it isn’t the flu, but I guess this is working a little different. I never took my temp, so I guess I could have had a low grade fever that I didn’t notice or just thought it was hot flashes 🙂

I’ve still got a tiny, productive cough but I’m able to run again and that’s what’s important. Being sick and not being able to run was not putting me in a good mood. So I guess I’ll take this opportunity to apologize to anyone I may have snapped at over the past two weeks.

    Take care of yourself.

  5. I understand your frustrations Martha. It seems that I got off to a wonderful start riding again but have encountered constant setbacks recently. I thought for sure that I’d get 200 miles in for September (I had about 100 by the end of the first week of September), but as tomorrow marks the last day of the month and I still need twenty-nine miles there is no way that is going to happen.

What I’m also miffed about today is that I have a ticket to see Francine Reed sing at Eddie’s Attic tonight and I’m doubting that I will feel well enough to go to the show. I’ve been looking forward to this show for about a month now and will be ticked off if I cannot attend.

Sorry you are feeling ill Paulie! Sounds like you are on the mend though.
The ride down yesterday was not as bas as I thought it would have been, we only stopped twice. Travis did great, what a trooper!

Recovery ride this morning, probably a longer ride on Thursday then 86 both Saturday and Sunday. Gonna be fun!
