FAIL!

Since you all have started multiple (more interesting) threads of conversation I’ll just update here to say that I gave up on waiting in line. Even though the young lady in whom I had much interest was still there like a carrot at the end of a stick I figured I should try again later. Besides, one of my goals is to not get fired from my job…

Happy Thursday, folks!

    I don’t like your priorities today 😉

As for your twitter…I think Bode looks pretty cute when he gets done with his bath. Not as cute as a baby gorilla but still really cute.

  2. bob says:

    Unacceptable!

  3. Martha says:

We maybe be waiting a long time.

    From AJC.com

At Perimeter Mall, a crowd estimated by a security officer at 1,000 to 1,500 waited in two lines: customers who had pre-ordered and those who were waiting to order.

  4. It’s going to suck regardless. And, I rode my bike to work. And, I can’t sync my phone until I get home. What was I thinking..,

  5. bob says:

Wow! That is a large collection of nerds! 🙂

  6. Martha says:

    5,000 at Lenox…

  7. Barb says:

you have a perfectly good working phone, why in the HELL would you wait in a line of 1000 people for hours, when you could go back tonight, or tomorrow & not have to wait very long? Yes, I know, no one will ever call me a nerd.

  8. This should come as no surprise that the only reason I got into the line is because I’m a few people behind a 100% Paulie Approved young (married) woman. The scenery is beautiful. 😉

  9. Martha says:

Since there is no blog, I’m going to vent…

Damn COA! I’m getting my new sofa delivered today, we put the old one on the curb last night…Called COA bulk trash pick-up this morning…the next scheduled pick-up is the week of July 12th. Looks like I’m going to have to pay someone to cart it off for me…it can’t sit out there for 3 weeks.

I would also like to apologize to anyone that every sat on that old couch…I didn’t realized how bad it was (I knew it wasn’t good) until we got it out of the house.

  10. My reservation is only guaranteed for today. I could come back later, and may give up soon, but the line will be here all day long.

  11. Barb says:

Why would the reservation only be good for one day? Why do they want customers that had to stand in line on a hot humid day that will be grouchy & bitchy by the time they fianlly get inside? That makes no sense to me. (again, proving that I know nothing about this nerd world)

  12. Barb says:

Martha – we (if it isn’t a sleeper sofa) could put it in Allan’s truck & take it somewhere? But – where could we take it tonight?

  13. That’s just the way it is. We’re inside Perimeter Mall so the heat is not an issue. The only issue is that the line is barely moving.

  14. Steve says:

Martha, I wouldn’t be suprised if it “grew legs” and disappeared all by itself.

Paulie, the married ones are just eye candy, work on one without the ring!! And you might need to come to Georges to meet one of the new waitstaff.. right up your alley and from New York! Just a few unfortunate tattoo’s.

isn’t awesome that Paulie doesn’t have to post anything and we can still entertain ourselves just fine?

I’m hoping it walks off…but its in pretty bad shape. Five or so years of doggie and hasher abuse has taken a toll.

I think there is still an open landfill, down Moreland, not far from my house. I think (worst case) if it is still here over the weekend, we can get it in my truck for a short drive down.

I’m just trying to figure out my day…it would be great to get all my weekend stuff done today so I can just relax and maybe watch the game Saturday.

I’m so not a nerd, I’d like to think I am, I’m way too excited about Futurama tonight and love Dr. Who…but I just don’t have what it takes to stand in line all day for a little piece of hardware.

  16. I’m a quitter. I gave up and will try again before riding home tonight. And I’m still wondering why I decided to ride today knowing that I’d be getting my new phone. Oh the strong pull of the desire to lose weight…

  17. Steve says:

Not getting fired is a good goal which I support. After all, how else will you pay for all these new toys?

  18. Martha says:

On the topic of “Paulie Approved” girls…my coach is opening a second gym this weekend in Alpharetta, if anyone is interested in checking it out we will be driving up for the team WOD at 10am.

Crossfit girls are hot…should be more than a couple hanging around this weekend. 😉

  19. Your coach opened a second gym? Somebody is making good money off his/her clients. 😛

  20. bob says:

    1. Start a cult
    2. Get people to follow
    3. Profit

Just kidding Martha, being passionate about working out is not a bad thing.

  21. The (only) problem with the women who are 100% Paulie Approved is that they are not looking for a man like me (if they are looking for a man at all).

  22. Barb says:

bike ride with beer stops tomorrow night in Marietta – who’s in?
    starting Rocco’s about 6pm.

  23. Martha says:

I could have worse problems than working out and I’m sure I spend less on my membership than many folks spend on booze in a month.

Well, you’ve got three options, change what is considered “Paulie Approved”, change Paulie or do nothing.

You just never know what life will hand you or how it will work out…I would have never, ever thought of Jerry as ‘my type’…turns out, he sort of is 😉

My hint for the day…skip Kroger on a Thursday morning…I thought it was a good plan, but the shelves are bare and only one line was open…waste of time.

Bike ride sounds fun but I doubt I’ll make it, we really need to get Jerry a bike.
