Argh

Not only am I cranky and running late, I cut the heck out of my chin shaving this morning. Only the ugly bandaid on my face is stopping me from bleeding like a stuck pig.

Hope your day is better. Happy weekend all.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

I conked my forehead on my car door at Home Depot last night, I have a good headache still. (and, not a bad bruise yet, but I’m waiting for that to show up).

But – a co-worker made me brownies for my birthday, so that made this day a little better.

  2. Awesome. Because your birthday is Sunday I was planning on post-birthday greetings on Monday.

Luck was not my friend at the blackjack table last night. Having better sense than to try and catch back up on my losses, I left after half an hour and lightening my wallet by a C note. Yesterday after lunch, I played for 45 minutes and was even when I closed out. Sometimes the cards are your friends, other times they kick you when you’re down. And then stomp on you for good measure.

Paulie, Barb’s REAL friends are coming to the deck topping party and birthday celebration on Sunday… just sayin’ 🙂

Steve – you really want to come help with installing fake wood? Really?
We will be at the house all day Sunday……..

Not sure what is on the agenda for dinner, all depends on how the day goes & more importantly, how long the day goes.
But bring a change of clothes – we’ve got this awesome shower in the garage. (or, 2 inside the house).

  5. I have my own house work to do this weekend, but there is always a possibility that I can help on Sunday. I have to warn all that I am far from the best carpenter though.

  6. Barb says:

Paulie – seriously, do your own house/yardwork. don’t worry about us, we will be just fine. I’m sure Allan’s dad & mom will be there too.

I’m single this weekend, Jerry went to visit a collage buddy in Charleston, I’m so excited!!! It means I get to watch (what I want) tv in the living room! Actually, I don’t have big plans, again I might do the double hash on Sunday, run and hit the gym tomorrow, maybe do some shopping tomorrow afternoon. I got my first pay check today, no sense in it just sitting in my account.

It looks like it will be somewhat tolerable to be outside this weekend, so no excuses about not getting things done.

Tonight I may just swing by Nick’s for some take away and enjoy the silence (did I mention he took Logan also).

    Collage buddy? Who knew? 🙂

I’ve never used the crackberry to respond before- looks pretty good on the little screen.

  9. Martha says:

Ugh, yeah, no spell check on Explore here at work…now you will know what a terrible speller I really am…

I found out yesterday, I will get my first Blackberry, probably next week. I’m not sure how I feel about this yet. I’m thinking I should have asked for more money.

  10. steve says:

Well, the guys I share support duty with have shared one for years, but they finally got smart and gave us each our own. Oddly, it doesn’t pick up very well at JEFDSDR. Too bad
    SPOILER ALERT

I saw it coming and will have to watch tonight, but the god of thunder rocks my world.

  11. I’m seeing ads for Trek’s Big Bike sale. Starting to tempt me greatly…

  12. bob says:

Paulie, you gonna go for one of the custom painted Madone’s?

  13. I don’t know, but I need to decide before the end of the Tour. The 2.3 is on sale for $1470, while the Madone 3.1 is $1700.

  14. Barb says:

    Thor!!!!!!
I have no idea what he did, but I just like the idea that he did well. We stayed up way too late watching yesterday’s stage, that was a great finish.

I think the bikes fit a little differently – so you may want to not make any “decisions” until you are at the shop. You may want a Gary Fisher…….
But – I do like my custom painted Project One paint job.

(and Martha – I get no spell check here, that is why you all get to see my typo’s)

  15. I won’t buy without being fitted. I’ve never considered a Gary Fisher for some reason.

  16. Martha says:

My mountain bike is a Gary Fisher, not that I’ve actually rode it much in the past year or so….

Okay so in no way relevant to today’s comments but I just found out that Intown Market now sells Growlers (64oz) and has 8 beers to choose from, ranging from Bridgeport IPA for $7.99 to La Trappe White for $25. You ‘buy’ a growler for $5, when you are ready for a refill, they will swap it out for a cold & clean one.

  18. Cool. Please remind me where Intown Market is.

  19. Martha says:

a Decatur and Grant St, near the King MARTA station

I really should swing by there more, it’s a great little place.
