Almost Too Busy To Bullshit

The next two weeks of my life will be frantic. In addition to writing code for a project which has fallen behind schedule and has release of beta code that is imminent I’ll be traveling for recruiting, and then down to Savannah for Inter Americas Hash 2011.

I worked until about 8:30pm last night. Driving home I decided to get dinner and took a gamble that Tomatillos would be open late. I found out that they close at 10:00pm, and if you get there a little past 9:00pm they serve your food pretty damn quickly because:
a) you are likely the only one eating at that time
b) they want to go home

I had a pulled pork burrito with fresh jalapeños added. It was much better than the first burrito I ate there a few weeks ago. Tomatillos will remain in my rotation, but it’s still yet to gain “destination restaurant” status and will be called upon only in time of need or craving.

From there I went home and pretty much passed out watching a video on my computer.

Today I code and then fly. You’ll find out more about this tomorrow.

I stayed up until 10 last night (crazy I know) to watch Teranova. I’m hesitant anymore to start watching a new series, usually by the time I’m hooked, it is canceled or goes on a 6 month hiatus (I’m looking at you Lost). I usually stick with watching past videos on-line so I know what sort of commitment I’m getting.

I had planned on leaving the office early today, I have a haircut scheduled at 2:30, then I noticed (via Facebook) my hairdresser is in NJ. I guess I need to make a call, but I’ll still probably leave early.

Happy Birthday Debbie, I missed it on Facebook, with the new layout, it was hidden.

  2. I guess it’s too much to ask some people to check their appointment schedule before going out of town??? Seems a little rude and unprofessional to me.

  3. Jenka says:

Everyone on the Buzz reports that the burritos at Tomatillo’s are better without rice. Do you order it with or without rice? (This question could be posed to Martha as well.)

  4. I had read that too and was going to go sans rice, but was kinda hungry so I let them make it their way. The rice was definitely better this time, but still a bit too wet. Next time I go I’ll try it without rice.

I wish Tomatillo’s had a burrito bowl, I know they have the ‘mesa bowl’, Jerry got it, it’s not the same. I also prefer black beans over pintos. I saw black beans on the menu but didn’t see it as an option on the burrito. I guess I could have asked but the place was so noisy and the cashier seemed to struggle so much with Jerry’s order I just tried to make it simple. Oh, he couldn’t seem to get the credit card machine to work, thankfully I had a $20.

I didn’t really have issue with the rice, however, I did order avacado and I was half way through my meal before I found it.

It looks like my appointment is actually tomorrow, I was really looking forward to leaving early today.

  6. Debbie says:

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I had a lovely weekend of celebrating. I got a camera from Steve. Paulie what’s your suggestion for a lense to augment the 18-55 that it came with?

  7. Martha says:

Went to Las Tortas Locas for lunch, I lucked out, my order number was cinco!

  8. Randy says:

Thanks for the Bday wish, Paulie. Yes, I am significantly older than The Google, but was tickled nonetheless to discover this morning that we share the same birthday. So, along that vein, assuming The Google is also an ITP-reader: Happy Birthday, Google!

Looking forward to catching up with you while you are in town – hopefully we can work it out.
