Quick Post

While a laptop is at my disposal it’s not within reach so today will be a quickie. Besides, I am on vacaaaaation…

Don’t Call Me A Loser
It’s already been a fun time up here in Raleigh. After a day filled with activities and a trip to the local pool, the gang all packed up and went over to Durham to a Durham Bulls baseball game. It was $1 hot dog night! — veggie dogs not included, they were full price.

Sometime during the game the Great Clips fans of the game were selected. Fans sitting in Section 211 (hey, that’s our section), Row T (hey, that’s our row!) all won coupons for a free haircut fromGreat Clips. Hahahahah, I couldn’t help but laugh.

Everything Okay I The Hood?
I heard that there were strong storms in the Atlanta area last night. I heard that a tree fell into Fox Bros BBQ and they will have to close for a few days to repair the damage. I heard that my street lost power for a while (no shock there), at least my alarm clock won’t be going off now…

Everything else okay down there?

I’m Not Sure What The Rest Of The Weekend Will Hold
Because I’m on vacation….

Cheers,

The AJC said “Storm destroys Fox Bros. BBQ”…not that the media might sensationalize a story. (FYI I spelled sensationalize right on the first attempt)

The Olympics are really messing with the amount of sleep I’m getting this week, I don’t think the steroids are helping. I hoping to bug out of here by noon today. It’s been a long week.

    Have a great weekend everybody!!!

That would have been pretty crazy to be eating at Fox Bros. last night – but it looked like the tree was all but gone by 11pm last night.
    Now to repair the building……..

I haven’t watched all that much fo the Olympics, I’m just not into gymnastics. Is there an alternate cable channel for the other events?

I attempted a mountain bike ride last night, I”ll blame it on the heat, and I think I”m developing asthma, I had the worst time breathing, so we didn’t get as much riding in as I would have liked. Burgers & beers at Bob’s after was fun.

It’s a tax-free weekend in NC so Lusa and I are at REI.

I think NBC has a couple off channels with sports.

    Um “Lusa” = “Lisa”

Barb, if you have a cable service of some sort, you can long on to NBCSports.com with your account info and have free access to all sessions of all sports. I was able to watch the first velodromes sessions yesterday and it was pretty cool- you can even turn OFF annoying announcers and just listen to the raw feed. Although yesterday, there were no announcers on the feed, so I just had to do my own… and try and figure out why the Chinese got relegated out of a gold medal! Oops.

Just watched the coverage of the storm last night- wow.. where did that come from? I left the office at 3:45 and saw nothing in the area… Fox Bros. looked pretty trashed. I hope they wanted to remodel.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

  6. Barb says:

no NBC Sports for us…. U-verse.

hey Paulie- buy a swim shirt – would ya?

  7. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Ha! I’ll be wearing a running shirt, and the pool has a shaded area as well. Yesterday I took a nice nap in the shade.
