Blogging Is On The Back Burner Today

Busy putting out flames at work, will have to provide you with two days’ worth of blogging tomorrow.

Today’s Personal Project
Get out of the weeds, continue to try and figure out what is wrong with me.

Today’s Daily Challenge
Lie face-up on the floor with arms extended, lift them about twelve inches (thirty cm), repeat nine times.

Can you feel this in the muscles of your upper arms? As we age, we lose muscle tone and strength in our arms. This challenge calls on those muscles to engage in order help you hoist your arms up and lower them down to the spot just above the floor. If you use weights for this challenge, you may feel a good stretch in your chest, as well.

Stats & Goals
Daily
Current Mood – meh, trying hard to live each day to it’s fullest, but honestly, I’m failing
Current Music – silence at the moment
Website Of The DayComiXology is still the best way to read comics, um graphic novels, digitally.

    A two-fer on Thursday!!

I’m still screwed up having 2 days off at the beginning of the week. Somehow monday on a wednesday just doesn’t seem right.

Rode about 20 miles yesterday and overdressed. Somewhere, I have a couple long sleeved jerseys, but I can’t seem to find them. My new full fingered gloves were quite nice and seemed to pad my hands better than the fingerless ones I normally ride with. Hand pain is almost a constant when I ride due to ganglion cysts in both hands.. probably caused by… (wait for it..) riding!! Or not, but that’s my guess.

Games meeting last night-wrapping up 2012. A typical nit-picky be-atch session that lasts a couple hours. Didn’t leave Peachtree Corners until 9:45, home just before 11. Up at 5:00, at work by 6:30. I may be dragging a bit.

We have determined that the deck heaters work pretty darn well, so with a sweatshirt or some sort of jacket, you can eat outside even when its cold out. Had a nice dinner last night, some ribs, and some venison chili. I’m not the red chili maker (that’s Allan’s department usually), but it came out pretty darn good. And – We even have to get some more propane, as one has already used it all up. We will need it for Thanksgiving, hopefully the weather will cooperate & we will be able to eat outside.

  3. Martha says:

Barb, does your heater have a reflector? We sure could have used one this weekend…the 15 foot tall fire wasn’t directing enough heat towards the circle. I mean some of us could get within 10 feet of it. Paulie’s task for next year is to build one 😉

So I put myself on the waiting list for the Duncan Ridge race this weekend…and I got in. Now I’m not so sure about the 2 hour drive (one way) and 30k mountain run. It seemed like a good idea at the time.

  4. Barb says:

Martha – JoAnna is staying up there Friday night for that mountain run.
yes- the heaters are the tall ones that have the relectors on the top to keep the heat down.
