Blog-Free Thursday

Sorry ITP-Readers, duty calls (hehe, I said “duty”) so today will be a fairly blog-free Thursday. Hey, at least there will be fewer opportunities for me to screw something up!

Last night I got a haircut, wound up returning to the Hinterlands to eat at Taco Mac, was proposition for money by a man who had some story about his car having a flat and his ATM card being in his jacket which was in his car (he seemed “legit” and wanted $20, for some reason I gave him $5 — as opposed to the $0 I normally give people asking for money), and returned to work.

I closed my eyes on my cubicle floor some time around 2:00am and was up for my 5:00am alarm. I skipped my morning walk, have showered in the locker room, and expect a hectic day.

With any luck I’ll be freed from the confines of this building by 6:00 so that I can hop a MARTA train (or drive) to the Hertz Stage at the Alliance Theatre for tonight’s performance of “Holidays with The Chalks.”

Hope your Thursday is better than mine.

Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]

I really hope your product release goes smoothly so you can stop spending so much time at the office. I have had some pretty long days before but have never slept on the floor of my cube.

well – that doesn’t sound fun sleeping in your cube.

Last night they had trivia at the Roswell Tap – pizza was really tasty & we were doing okay at trivia (middle of the pack of the 10 teams that were playing), with a little help from others sitting at the bar with us. But – the final question was impossible – here are 10 Arnold Schwarzenegger character names – name the movie. We laughed – time to give up & pay the bill.

interesting little bar – interesting folks.

I have often thought about sleeping in the office, especially when passing by it Southbound at 10:30PM, knowing I still have 45 minutes to go to get home, and knowing I’ll be back in the office in 8 hours. So far, I haven’t, but I have space scoped out.

I am really enjoying (in that masochistic sort of way) the Sufferfest. Last night was an interval session, and I can feel it today. Maybe it will help on the road.

I already have a report from JEFDSDR that sometime after 6am, Farley decided he really did not like his dinner and pills from last night, and deposited said dinner and pills on the bedroom floor. Poor Farls.. he’s not a happy camper (and neither is Debbie).

Good luck on the release Paulie!!

I’m back from New Orleans! Fun trip, but I pretty much ate and drank all the food and drink. All of it. For reals.

In paragraph 2 above, it should be “propositioned.”

Haha, I love you Jenka! Even when I think that I have written so little that I could not screw up, you prove me wrong. ๐Ÿ˜€

  6. Jenka says:

*Smile* I hope you appreciate it when I say that I don’t even mention many (minor, obviously) errors. In related news, I end sentences with prepositions all the time, but it BUGS THE SHIT OUT OF ME when people say, “there is” when they should say, “there are.” I cannot overstate my reaction enough.

    It is much appreciated. ๐Ÿ™‚
